From the start, our sales manager Joey was very responsive in setting up a site visit meeting. We instantly knew we wanted to book this venue because of the lovely floor length windows, chill vibe and cosy atmosphere. They even provided floral arch decorations free of charge. We also heard good reviews about the restaurant that will be catering for our dinner, Man Fu Yuan.
The solemnisation room was just adjacent to the banquet dining area, allowing for easy mingling. It was difficult to find a venue that had a low minimum number of guests (The Library can accomodate a minimum of 20 guests to a maximum of 60), and we knew we found the one. The only downside to the venue is that the restrooms are only available via the stairs. I noticed a lot of my elder relatives struggling a little to climb up and down, and the event is not really wheelchair friendly unless they use the toilet in your own hotel room on the same floor.
Joey also arranged a finalisation meeting closer to the wedding date and assisted us in planning out a schedule so we had a rough idea of what to expect and prepare. She also accomodated all my requests for additional rooms with patience. We only had to prompt her once (and that was because she missed our email), she was extremely apologetic about it and all other requests were responded to promptly. She was also super friendly throughout and put us at ease when we were nervous.
The bridal suite was beautiful and huge, with enough space to cater for the makeup artist. We were given a VIP lot just outside the hotel lobby, and it was easy to bring up all the items we needed. One of the lobby staff (didn't get his name) even helped us to carry the items to our room without prompting. We were even given a sweet dessert platter, a cute wedding themed soft toy set and champagne upon checking in!
We did not really know what to expect for the actual event, and the floor staff on that day helped a lot. Our wedding coordinator Andry was superb, from the pre-event briefing to the actual event. He would pre-empt us on what's coming up next, and even took care of minor details. For example, my parents went to the washroom right before our second walk-in. Andry noticed and informed us & my friends immediately to hold off the walk-in until they were back.
I was also concerned about the timing & flow of the events, but they were unfounded. Andry and the staff made sure that it was a seamless experience, the champagne tower was already prepared before we walked in, etc. We were never left around waiting. Even my drinks were swapped out almost immediately when I finished them, which is something I've never experienced when attending other banquets.
One of the staff, Ah Hong, was super super friendly and gave off motherly vibes. She took care of us really well, teaching us what to do during the tea ceremony, took the initiative to provide a pillow for me to kneel down, constantly checking in with me to ask if I need anything. Even the drinks for me were provided with a straw so as not to ruin my lipstick.
We were busy mingling with everyone throughout the whole event and did not have time to eat. Another staff, Marc, took the initiative to takeaway our food to our room so we could dine after the wedding was over, which we really appreciated.
Man Fu Yuan's reviews were highly praised with reason, as the food was reviewed positively by all my family and friends (even the picky ones!) The Ee Fu noodles and the Nasi Padang (Halal menu) could be improved on, but that is just me being nitpicky. Portion size was good as well, as all our guests were full after the eight courses. The head chef even came down at the end of the event to make sure everything was alright.
The experience was so amazing we wanted to extend another night, but the hotel was at full occupancy (too popular! haha) We would be back for our wedding anniversary for sure. A huge thank you to Joey, Andry, Ah Hong, Marc and the rest of the team for making sure we (& guests) were well taken of.
