And, the Intercontinental Yokohama Pier 8 Hotel e...We arrived in Yokohama after a trip of twenty-three hours (door-to-door), from the United States. If ever we needed to be pampered, this was the time! And, the Intercontinental Yokohama Pier 8 Hotel ensured that we were well taken care of, from the moment we checked in to when we checked out two nights later. The rooms are just gorgeous: nicely decorated, spacious, and super comfortable. With a separate high-end toilet room, a beautiful bathroom with a tub, a shower, and a vanity area, large comfortable beds (firm matresses), and two sitting areas. The location of the hotel is ideal. Pier 8 really has everything you need right there in the complex: a Starbucks, a 7-Eleven (with an exchange machine and an ATM), and multiple restaurants in what is best described as a small mall area on the second floor of the complex. Walking to the nearby attractions and malls just takes five to ten minutes. We also took a taxi to Chinatown, which was quick and inexpensive. For our first experience in Japan, the team at the Intercontinental Yokohama Pier 8 made sure that we were pampered and well rested for our upcoming three-weeks journey around the country!Show More
