This hotel was located a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station…. Temples and viewing tower . Approximately 10 minutes to the main town - Gion region and old town ( beautiful). It has a small Japa...This hotel was located a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station…. Temples and viewing tower . Approximately 10 minutes to the main town - Gion region and old town ( beautiful). It has a small Japanese craft shop and Starbucks ( with outside eating area) connected with the entrance . It also has a gift area in the foyer. Pleasant and helpful reception staff, although their English wasn’t so good. Our bedroom was cosy but we liked that the bed was comfy and we could open the window for fresh air - ! We were on the back side of the hotel so quiet but not much of a view. Bathroom was fine- with some complimentary accessories. All in all you don’t spend ages in our hotel and we weren’t booked for breakfast - so I’d advise save your money on fancy 5* and book these. Clean comfortable great location !show more

The hotel is very centrally located to shopping, transportation, dining, attractions. So much was within walking distance to historic sites and more shops than we could see in 2 days. So much was within walking distance to historic sites and more shops than we could see in 2 days. The hotel lobby presentation, cleanliness, and staff were super helpful. Adjacent to a Starbucks for an early morning waffle and espresso. Our subway train stop brought us right to it.show more
