After 2 wonderful weeks in Japan staying at lovely hotels we checked into Keio Plaza hotel earlier this evening with a lot of expectations. Looking forward to our 6 nights here & ending our holiday ...After 2 wonderful weeks in Japan staying at lovely hotels we checked into Keio Plaza hotel earlier this evening with a lot of expectations. Looking forward to our 6 nights here & ending our holiday in Japan on a high note we walked into a decent enough room but received such a shock when we realised that the bathroom is a bathroom from 50 yrs ago. In today’s world of modern toilets an antiquated Toto toilet which had a manual flush & cistern on the vanity under a loose tile - disgusting !!! The website promised a modern room & bathroom & I’ve been soaking in the bathtub at every hotel after all the hours of walking. To my horror i discovered a tub with an ancient plug to block the drain, a dirty & loose faucet & a ridiculous hand shower with hardly any pressure which is fixed at an absurd height & unmovable. I don’t know how my husband managed to take a shower. Which hotel in today’s day & age has a dirty shower curtain ? We are used to glass shower doors & all the other hotels had a separate cubicle altogether. And they are calling this a MODERN ROOM !!!! The hotel is very expensive & completely cheating the guests . If seems they are only interested in selling their premier category rooms . Any attempt to ask for a better room is met with a persistent demand for money. I spoke with an obnoxious & rude manager , a Yamato Fujii who repetitively asked for MORe MONEY . When i told him that we just want a same category room in a better condition he just kept on asking for money. I politely asked him for a refund or speaking to his boss but he kept on refusing & asking for money. By the end of it i was wishing that we had booked Tokyo Stays which atleast doesn’t pretend to be a high class hotel. You get what u pay for & not this kind of fraud & a Yamato Fujii kind of a rude person who actually hung up on me. After years of travelling & staying in all kinds of hotels I’ve yet to come across such an insulting & humiliating behaviour from anyone from the hospitality industry . We are completely stuck & wishing that we could just go home. Yamato Fujii’s behaviour has completely ruined my Tokyo experience which hasn’t even begun.Show More

Overall, a really good stay in Tokyo for first timers. The hotel is in a convenient location about 10mins ish away from Shinjuku station and not too far from the airport. It is a bit of a business...Overall, a really good stay in Tokyo for first timers. The hotel is in a convenient location about 10mins ish away from Shinjuku station and not too far from the airport. It is a bit of a business/corporate style hotel but when you only eat breakfast there, sleep and get changed, we didn't feel how busy it was. Check in and check out was seamless, and the information desk team were always really helpful. They also have lots of QR code cards of tourist spots you can take away which help you plan your journey and key info. Decent sized room FULL of every amenity you would need. Clean and great views. My only feedback would be the pillows weren't great. Due to the size of the hotel, the lifts work based up on what floors you are on and sometimes you have to go all the way down to go back up. We never actually had to wait that long for a lift, but the doors do close pretty quick so be careful. We had booked a Premier Grand room which actually meant we could eat breakfast in the 'Club Lounge'. I can't compare to the other breakfast area as we never used it but this was a definitely a very relaxed experience and had great views of the city. Staff were all friendly, and attentive. Breakfast was also a good selection of both Japanese and Western style with various omelettes made to order. Being on the Premier Grand floors also meant you had access to the 47th floor Sky Lounge - also great views. On this floor there are complimentary tea/coffee from the Starbucks machine, light snacks (bagels, nuts) and drinks. A small menu of wine, beer and cocktails (I don't recommend these). So it was nice to go up for a drink before we went out at night and also when we'd come back from a day of sightseeing to get a hot drink so a pleasant surprise to have this included. Can't really ask for anything more. Good location, good staff, and clean rooms.Show More

Shinjuku station ...This hotel is in an amazing location - 10 minutes walk from Shinjuku station, 5 minutes from the stop for bus tours and a 12 minutes walk from the Shinjuku Central park for children. Shinjuku station is crowded, busy and quite confusing, with several transit lines and train stations. Head out in the direction of the Govt Metro building for directions to the hotel and once you exit the station, the hotel is right there!! Staff are nice and friendly. The room was quite large and clean as was the washroom. And with most high end hotels in Japan, the toilet came with a heated bidet, which is always cool. We were at a high floor and the view of the city skyline was quite nice. Breakfast was included and the spread was decent, I would suggest the Jurin over the Glasscourt restaurant for breakfast. And there is 24x7 711 convenience in the Hotel itself. But the most amazing feature was the Sky Lounge on the 47th floor. It offered 360 degree views of the skyline with relaxing seating and free hot and cold beverages. And there was large play area for children, which was about the best thing for families to entertain kids, tired or bored from all the regular touristic stuff. The hotel is quite expensive but with all the amenities, pretty good value for money. The only other downside was they would only take cash as payment for the luggage services (transport to the next hotel), which was quite poor.Show More

I booked a biz + personal trip to Tokyo and had a package ptu together by AAA that combined Singapore Airlines with the Keio. It's pricey, but the package included an American breakfast buffet. The room was a good size, and the room amenities were excellent, particularly the restroom. The hotel is centrally located to many sites and attractions, and the train station is nearby. Most of the staff seemed bilingual. The only knock on this place is the business center, which is terrible. Small, cramped, outfitted with PCs from the 1990s, and not at all user-friendly. One other ding was that the pricey dinner buffet at the Glass Dolphin was OK, but my dinner partner and I were told we could stay only up to 2 hours. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Room service was excellent and very prompt. Overall, this was an excellent hotel choice for my needs and highly recommend. NOTE: This is a conservative hotel. I saw a review left by an LGBTQ person who stayed there, saying they did not feel welcome, and I can understand that comment, based on the demographic for guests: lots of business folks, not a lot of families, and the age range was from 30s to 70s. Mostly Asian folks, but some from the US, Europe, and South America.Show More
