Le onsen ...Excellent séjour - nous avions réservé la chambre avec onsen privatif et celle-ci a été plus qu'à la hauteur de nos attentes. Hyper spacieuse, calme, bien équipée, très propre, bref parfait. Le onsen avec la vue sur la montagne était un vrai plus et nous ne regrettons pas du tout notre choix, c'était parfait pour nous reposer après 10 jours de voyage. Le diner inclus dans notre réservation était excellent, avec la possibilité de choisir un menu différent (mais plus onéreux, à régler en supplément). Si vous restez plusieurs nuits et que le diner est inclus, les repas changeront d'une nuit à l'autre ce qui vous permettra de profiter de la variété du menu. Le petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet était également bon, avec une large variété pour le côté japonais si vous souhaitez tester, et une partie occidentale suffisante selon moi (fruits, croissants, pain, beurre, confiture...). Il y a également une boutique au sein de l'hôtel, du thé mis à disposition dans l'entrée et le personnel est vraiment aux petits soins. Des navettes mises en place par l'hôtel permettent de rejoindre la gare de Gora simplement, sinon prévoyez de prendre le bus depuis la gare d'Hakone, voire un taxi. L'hôtel est situé un peu plus loin dans les montagnes mais ça vaut largement le coup (et le coût). Nous reviendrons avec plaisir si nous repassons à Hakone dans le futur, encore merci à l'équipe pour ce super séjour.Show More

I was with older family members and I made sure I booked a hotel with a...This was the worst hotel experience, although not that much due to the hotel itself, but because of the service - or lack of it. I was with older family members and I made sure I booked a hotel with a shuttle service. I contacted the hotel before arriving asking whether the shuttle would, indeed, be available, and how to book it. Then the day of our arrival came - and I literally called 30 (!) times for the shuttle bus and no one ever answered. We were forced to walk uphill to reach the hotel - and when we did, we saw a shuttle nicely parked in the driveway. When I confronted the hotel staff, they first blamed me for calling a wrong number (showed them that I had called the one they themselves had provided by e-mail), then blamed everything on an automated system. No apology. A very passive aggressive attitude. I have been to Gora multiple times, and I am aware that the shuttle system works well for other hotels - so if you need it, make sure to choose a different hotel (there are plenty in a similar price range). I do not recommend this place.Show More

When you arrive, the first thing you do is take off your shoes — the wooden floors and tatami hallways immediately create a warm and traditional Japanese atmosphere, which I really loved. Our room was very cozy, and there was a large private onsen right outside with a beautiful view. It felt amazing to soak in it both at night and in the morning — so relaxing and satisfying! The breakfast was absolutely marvelous — a stunning buffet with plenty of delicious options. If you enjoy Japanese-style food, you’ll love it here. The hotel is located on a hill, so it’s best to have a car to get there. The staff were friendly and helpful overall. I still highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great onsen hotel with a genuine Japanese atmosphere.Show More
