The hotel is beautiful, but the way everything was handled afterwards was extremely disappointing. My sister’s injury wasn’t discovered until we had left, and the insurance company’s handling of the incident was genuinely awful. After she posted honest reviews about the experience, Carolyn from the marketing team contacted me, not to check on my sister, but to ask that the negative reviews be removed. Her message strongly implied we would continue the conversation and explore a future stay once the reviews were taken down. My sister removed every review in good faith. Since then, I have emailed Carolyn four times since October, and she has not responded once. It’s clear the outreach was only to protect the hotel’s reputation, not to address what happened or to follow through on what was offered. On top of that, I experienced an issue with multiple payments being taken from my card. The manager was rude when I tried to resolve it during our stay, and afterwards despite attempts from my end, I was given no answers, just 30 days of being fobbed off until it solved itself. The Langham is a stunning property, but guest care is defined by how a hotel responds when things go wrong. In our case, communication was poor, follow-through was non-existent, and we were only contacted when it benefited the hotel. No guest should be made to feel dismissed or ignored like this.Show More

It’s calm, well-run, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms are large for Manhattan, the beds are excellent, and the staff is professional without being stiff. The building itself feels solid and quiet, with high ceilings and clean lines that make it a genuinely comfortable place to stay. Service has always been good. The front desk handles things smoothly, housekeeping is reliable, and the restaurant does a nice job. It’s a well-managed property that delivers what you expect from a high-end brand. But there’s one problem they never seem to fix: the windows. They’re filthy. Not just dusty or streaked, but coated in grime that hasn’t been touched in years. I’ve stayed here many times over the past two years, and I don’t think they’ve been cleaned once. It’s disappointing because the views are supposed to be one of the hotel’s best features. The Empire State Building should look sharp and close from these rooms, but the dirt turns it into a smudge. It’s a small thing that ends up being a big one. The Langham has everything going for it, but until they deal with the windows, the experience feels incomplete.Show More

Each staff member truly goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable. It was non stop luxurious customer service from arrival to departure and in every single department. Doormen and bellman are best in the business, front desk, housekeeping and dining staff are equally impressive. I do not think I could stay anywhere else in NYC after experiencing such consistent and high level service like The Langham. I usually stay at another very well known five star hotel and The Langham is so much better. I felt like it was truly a second home. Also the beds are heavenly.Show More

We booked a club level room and it was absolutely worth the extra $ . We utilized the food/drink offerings in the club multiple times over our weekend stay, and every time it was excellent. The location is perfectly situated within walking distance to subway to get uptown/downtown easily. The room size it what drew us to this hotel, as NY standard rooms are TINY. The room and bathroom were huge an well appointed. What made this stay a stand out was truly the hotel staff. They were all so helpful and kind. Show More
