After that stay we vowed never to return BUT after being contacted by management and the CEO we agreed to return as we were assured that all the issues we had raised had been addressed and I am a big believer in everyone deserves a second chance. . We very recently returned in late October and after an initial issue I am very pleased to see that the service we experience over years has returned to the Legian Beach Hotel. The staff were back to their normal amazing service. Breakfast service and staff were fabulous and the lounge area is back in full swing. It was quieter than we expected but this may well be due to one section of the hotel being closed due to much needed and appreciated refurbishment. There only issue was the villa we were initially issued. 49C, This is a premier deluxe villa - stunning. probably one of the best if not the best villa in the whole complex. Well that is except for just one problem, and its a big one. The noise from the road is horrendous. The wall right behind the villa backs right onto the main street. You hear every motor bike, every car or lorry with a loud exhaust, every party bus etc. At 1.30am the first night I was wide awake and could now identify the make and year of every motorbike by their exhaust (well almost ) . I did attend reception at this time, (yep at 1.30) and advise them of the issue. Thankfully the management sorted the issue later that morning moving us to a much much quieter villa. We were invited to a management garden party which we greatly looked forward to but due to being ill could not attend which we were bitterly disappointed. The big question is would we return given our previous issues, you betcha, in a heartbeat and in fact we are already planning on next return trip.Show More

Staff were lovely. Room had everything we needed, including international chargers. The 1 year old loved the pool and the little slide. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. We felt torn between eating inhouse and spending slightly more and enjoying some of the best meals I've ever had in Bali and getting still decent food outside the resort at 2/3 the price. It wasn't expensive, it just wasn't super cheap.Show More

It is not the bu...Legian Beach Hotel has been our second home this year as we have spent 14 weeks away from home and most of this was spent at Legian Beach Hotel. People ask why do you always go there. It is not the buildings BUT the Staff that make this hotel great. All staff will greet us with a smile and hands in prayer position. (The traditional Balinese greeting). Every staff member has been trained to look after the guests as if they are family. Legian Beach Hotel is about feeling like family and that is why we have kept returning for 35 years. Rooms are being renovated, shower pressure is good, bedding comfortable and there is free drinking water at the lobby for guests to use. Pools are kept very clean. Chef has created some exciting new dishes. The restaurant is reasonably priced, and the food is very good. The band that plays is good also. The gardens are a haven in this part of busy Bali. They are well maintained and have beautiful flowers throughout. Thank you to all for looking after us.Show More

There’s no problem getting a sun lounge at the pool. Beach is right in front of the hotel and there is a staff member who will stop traffic to help you cross safely. There are massage places, restaurants, cafes, bars and shops all around the the block within easy walking distance. There seems to be quite a few people here who are either in wheelchairs or using a mobility walker probably because rooms and breakfast dining areas are easy to access. The cutest thing especially for children though we loved too, is feeding the squirrels every morning. Staff are friendly and courteous I will definitely stay here again. Though, like this time I would wait till I can find a special as it can be pricey booking it separately to flights.Show More
