My wife recently booked this hotel for my birthday as a surprise and it was amazing Check-In: We was greeted by a friendly member of staff who made this process extremely quick. They managed to deal ...My wife recently booked this hotel for my birthday as a surprise and it was amazing Check-In: We was greeted by a friendly member of staff who made this process extremely quick. They managed to deal with a for a lower level floor and explained all the amenities and timings for ourselves. They even explained to my wives surprise that we had booked an executive room so had full access to the Executive lunge (read further) Room: The room we had was amazing, the size, clean and the view was of the city which really was nice. It had a large bed, seating area, working desk, plenty of cupboard space and all the amenities including safe, iron and hairdryer. Bathroom: Again this was huge and clean. We had a separate bath and shower which had a rainfall head and jets within the wall. Spa: We had access to the spa area which provided a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. We made use of this and was good but there was a few downsides but not any that ruined the experience. The female changing was out of bounds due to building works and my wife hadn't changed in our room before heading down as we wasn't notified so she had to change in the disable toilet area which was a bit of an inconvenience. Another note was the swimming pool was cold, quite a common factor everywhere now due to the cost of heating swimming pools. Executive Lounge: As part of the room we booked we was granted access to the Executive Lounge which really was like being treated like a VIP. It had fridges full of soft drinks, a coffee machine and at certain times of the day it offered complimentary beers and wines. They also provided bar snacks like crisps and nuts and at different times throughout the day offered things such as breakfast pastries and canopies. This really was an amazing experience and worth looking at if staying and upgrade your room Breakfast: Breakfast was served buffet style in the Leo's restaurant. This was amazing and offered a huge range of choice including hot food, granola pots, cereal, fresh bread to name but a few. The food was of quality and cooked to perfection Location: This was great location with easy access too the tube, DLR and c2c network as well as within walking distance to major attractions Check-out: Again this was dealt with by a friendly member of staff and was quick and efficient We will definitely be returning and can't wait to visit againShow More

Tower bridge 5 mins walk . Monument tube station is also close by . Staff very helpful and friendly arrived early but room was ready . We were on floor 9 which had decent views . Room was spacious and modern we had two king size beds which were so comfortable . Bathroom well appointed with walk in shower and a bath . Robes and slippers and plenty of towels provided . Good storage for clothes with large wardrobes and plenty of drawers . Large flat screen Tv , hairdryer , iron and ironing board , safe and trouser press all provided and tea and coffee making facilities . Plenty of sockets including USB ports and located well by beds and desks . Plenty of mirrors including full length and magnifying mirror in bathroom . Excellent toiletries provided . Hotel spotlessly clean . Slept really well no road noise heard . Air con also provided . Mini bar and room service available . There is a swimming pool and gym available and an executive lounge if you want to select that option . We had breakfast included which was buffet style . Plenty of choice including usual hot breakfast items, continental , tea coffee and juices ( including paper cups take out if you wished ) . The restaurant was large and comfortable staff were excellent . We had some drinks in the bar which weren’t that expensive for London and again great service from the bar man . We will definitely be returning best hotel we have stayed in in London so far .Show More

On arrival, there was a serious lack of staff at the check-in desk, which resulted in a very long queue. When I was finally seen, the staff were rude and unhelpful, making the experience even more frustrating after the long wait. The most concerning issue happened after my stay. I was contacted and accused of not paying for my accommodation, despite the fact that I paid in full in cash at the hotel. I was then told that the amount would be taken automatically from my bank account, which is completely unacceptable and very stressful. It baffles me how you can accuse someone of not paying, even though I checked in, got room service, checked out at the desk. I have since tried calling and emailing to resolve this matter, but I have had no response at all. The lack of communication and poor handling of a serious payment issue shows a complete lack of professionalism. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend this hotel based on the service received and the way this issue has been handled.Show More
