This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel stays of...A Truly Awful Experience at Liberty Hotel. I genuinely hope that no one ever has to go through what I did at the Liberty Hotel in Toronto. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel stays of my life, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. From the moment we arrived, things were terrible. The person at the front desk was incredibly rude and unprofessional during check-in, which set the tone for the entire stay. The problems continued relentlessly. Starting at 7 a.m. every single morning, we were woken up by staff repeatedly knocking on the door for housekeeping. It was constant and completely disrupted our sleep. The room itself was disgusting. The blankets were filthy, and the cabinets were completely bare—not a single cup, plate, or utensil to be found. When we asked for dishwasher or laundry pods, we were told we had to go buy them ourselves. The hotel also refused to provide basic amenities like toothpaste. The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. I have never experienced such a low-quality, unappetizing breakfast in my entire life. To top it all off, using the elevators in the morning was a nightmare. We had to wait for at least ten minutes every time, just to get downstairs. This place shouldn't even be called a hotel. It's a complete disaster, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid it at all costs.Show More

The location is quite a distance from downtown and about an 8 minute drive from the #1 Yellow line Finch subway Terminal. If you’re not planning on spending a lot of time downtown it is a great spot. The continental breakfast has a ton of options and is well organized and maintained, one of the best free breakfasts I’ve seen. We didn’t use the parking but the underground facility is large and safe. Our room ended up being a suite, with a full kitchen. It was very clean, spacious and had a good view from the 21st floor. House cleaning was prompt and friendly, front desk staff greeted us with a big smile and were quick to get us keys. The area has lots of amenities, there is a large market and smaller mall with a food court just across the courtyard, with several shops, restaurants and a large mall within a 10 minute walk. We would certainly stay here again. Show More

Free onsite parking garage. There’s a big international grocery store in the building connected to the hotel building. Very convenient for cooking if you don’t want to eat out. There’s a kitchen inside the room but no pot/pans/ or any cooking utensils. We booked the 2 bedrooms suite. It’s actually a true 1 bedroom and the other bed is actually in the living room. With real Toronto traffic it takes about 1 hr to get to downtown Toronto from the hotel. The area has a lot of restaurants and many shoppings. The area and the hotel is safe. Clean. Easy to get around. The breakfast buffet is nice. Basic breakfast foods. The staffs are nice and helpful. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stays. Show More

We got stuck in the elevator with our kids for nearly 2hrs. We did not have any wifi (connection in whole building is terrible), no cell service and the intercom works poorly, at best. We did not have any wifi (connection in whole building is terrible), no cell service and the intercom works poorly, at best. We just wanted some confirmation that help was on the way, but communication was very poor and security took 45mins to even come acknowledge we were stuck - even then he mumbled a few words then left. Staff seemed to find the ordeal funny, said the elevators are sensitive and they sometimes do get stuck. On top of that the room was just ok and beds are small and uncomfortable. I asked for contact info to email the manager. I was given a general email address (after repeatedly asking for manager's personal email) to which i have gotten zero reply. All around a terrible experience. Zero stars, do not recommend. Show More
