There is quick access to restaurants, pubs...I booked a 9 day stay at London House Hotel and was thrilled with the experience! The hotel was a great price, in a great location, safe, clean, and quiet. There is quick access to restaurants, pubs, convenience stores, and tube stops in the area. Kensington Palace is just a quick walk away for those looking to tour. We booked their special 7+ night stay deal which provided us the flexibility to leave on a 2 day road trip to the Cotswolds without the hassle of repacking (not to mention hotel check-outs and checking back in). We felt safe and knew our belongings would be secure while we were gone. The only thing I will do differently on our next stay is to upgrade to a slightly larger room. I booked a standard double room for myself and my husband and it was a squeeze for two adults and two large pieces of checked luggage. A single traveler or someone staying for a shorter time probably wouldn't mind. We had to be very diligent about our organization because there was no room for any spreading out. Still, we enjoyed ourselves so much and were very happy with our hotel choice!Show More

My rating is strictly on how bad the noise was in the room we had on our ...We stayed at this hotel two different times over two weeks. I would have given it a five star rating based off the first stay. My rating is strictly on how bad the noise was in the room we had on our last stay. Our room was a family room in the basement under the lobby. The lobby noise was horrible and it never seemed to stop. The worst noise though, was the noise from moving the linens at night. They stored the linens in the hallway outside our room and had to move them up the stairs by our room. The men stood on the steps by our window and carried on loud conversations while working. They were louder than the people in the room speaking to each other. We complained to the front desk and were told it only happened at 9:00 pm for 15 minutes and nothing they could do. This was not our experience. One night it was well after 10:30 pm before they left. My complaint is that we paid more for our second stay (same amount of nights) than our first room. They should charge less for this room or warn guests of the noise. You do not want room B8 if you stay here.Show More

It is located in a very nice area, situated at a quiet square, with loads of restaurants,bars, pubs, shops and other amenities around the corner. The tube (circle line) was also within walking distance. We walked from Paddington station which was about 15-20 minutes. So not too far. Also Nothing Hill, Kensington Palace and Hyde Park are all well within walking distance.Show More

I was told the money on hold would be released back to me a few business days after checkout but it's been over a week and I haven't gotten my money back yet. I'm mostly deaf and when I tried to asked questions of the employee at the desk questions I couldn't understand her or read her lips due to her strong accent. When I tried to explain that I can't hear/understand her explanations she got very upset and talked even faster. I tried to ask if she could write everything down for me instead but she didn't seem to understand. I understand people are not used to accommodating hearing issues/ the deaf but it was not a great experience and I'm still wondering where my money is?Show More
