A three star hotel pretending hard not to be. Room small, bathroom had a clogged basin drain and a leaking shower. Weren’t allowed to put our water in the fridge. Not bad for a start! Not bad for a start! Beds were ok but mattresses old. Breakfast at Gordon Ramsey was poor both in quality and quantity, Holiday Inn is better! A very limited choice for hotel guests, asked for bread and got ONE slice cut in two! Eggs florentine were terrible as were the pastries and the coffee. One bottle of sparkling water ten pounds extra and they added a pound for some charity! Why? I find my own charities, thanks! Only good thing about this hotel are the people at the concierge and the porter, the rest of the staff could care less. Called front desk to have info about air conditioning, said she would call back. Still waiting. Cleaning ladies kept moving my thinks aroud which I truly despise! There are only two elevators and one was out of order for the three nights we were there, so long queues. They rent out their space for wedding and events so always crowded, not nice having to find your way through a mass of people. Apart from location it is not worth the price you pay, it seems they are trying hard to save money! Won’t be back, there are so many hotels in London that offer much more for the high price they charge!Show More

A service charge was added to the bill. So I asked and was told it is distributed among staff- gratuity. It is discretionary, but we were not told about this at booking time. The tv was not working. It was fixed, but many channels show a black screen. The doors slam shut, not on purpose, but this has been a constant noise throughout our stay. At 3:30 am it woke me up, and again at 5 am. This hotel has had problems maintaining elevators and we are using the private staff ones during our stay. Restaurant require you to go upstairs and are inconvenient for mobility challenged guests. My first impression when walking into our room was IKEA, cheap, budget decor and rigged mini fridge/ bar set up. Really? For the money we paid, shouldn’t there be atleast one or two amenities in the bathroom. There was the large soap, lotion, shower dispensers and 2 glass bottles of water. No Bonvoy welcome, nothing. I made a big mistake choosing this 24 sq m. Room. Lobby is attractive. Breakfast was good.Show More

The location is hard to beat. It’s incredibly walkable with plenty of transport options nearby, making it a great base for exploring central London. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered from the front desk to the teams at the Gordon Ramsay restaurants was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Special thanks to Samuel, Ashley, and Nikita in The Luggage Room bar; their service and expertise were exceptional and made our evenings there a highlight of the trip. That said, the hotel itself feels a bit dated in spots and didn’t quite match the premium price point. It’s not the most luxurious Marriott in the city ...more “comfortable and classic” than “posh and polished.” Still, with its unbeatable location, excellent staff, and a solid foundation of service, this property delivers a very pleasant stay.
