We’re two nights in to our three night stay. Having stayed in many of Bangkok’s hotels, we thought we’d give the Movenpick a try. Glad it’s only a few nights. The rooms are comfortable though housekee...We’re two nights in to our three night stay. Having stayed in many of Bangkok’s hotels, we thought we’d give the Movenpick a try. Glad it’s only a few nights. The rooms are comfortable though housekeeping is atrocious. Yesterday we went out at 10am and the room still wasn’t done at 4.30pm. We had to chase it. Coffee supplies weren’t replenished (it took three calls to get some this morning) and the balcony is filthy. Looks like it hasn’t been swept in months. The bathroom is a slip hazard as the shower leaks. The air con is set to 23 degrees and can’t be changed which is frustrating as the room is too warm. Breakfast is held in a lovely space but is a complete disaster. People fight over tables, the staff have no interest in keeping the food topped up when it runs out and what is served is lukewarm at best. Coffee also arrives cold. If it wasn’t included in our rate I’d give it a big miss. If you’ve done your research you’ll know that the location of the hotel is a little isolated (FYI no convenience stores close by) but the shuttle runs every hour and you can travel by boat from the pier next door. I’d suggest to management that they increase the frequency of the shuttle. You have a lot of vehicles sitting around doing nothing which is frustrating for guests when they need to get somewhere. Overall, it’s a fairly pleasant hotel. It’s certainly not all bad. There’s just a lot of room for improvement and we have the feeling that managements not that bothered about fixing the issues. Would we come back or recommend it? NO.Show More

The rooms are big and spacious and the staff is amazing. The best part about my whole stay was the gym facilities, staff and personal trainers that were available there. The hotel offers complimentary activity classes every day of the week which alone itself is much more valuable than the cost of the hotel room. The classes are very small and that level of personal training would cost way more in a gym outside but this one comes with a free five star resort room. The trainer Petch was excellent, he knew how to challenge you and adjust the program to really get you to perform at your fullest. I went for Muy Thai, Hyrox and Core Balance classes and feel fantastic. Highly recommend a stay at Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Resort and make sure to book the free daily activities at the gym.Show More

I loved the separate bath tub as well. The breakfast had so many amazing vegan options that were clearly marked including vegan cheese. The breakfast was probably the most impressive thing. It was unbelievable how much food was offered. The restaurant also had incredible vegan food although it was pretty expensive as a service charge is added for dining in a hotel. Even their bar had tons of vegan options for bar food. And there were free fitness classes with a nice outdoor pool. And you could even book a massage. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is fitness- and wellness-oriented and/or is vegetarian or vegan.Show More
