We stayed at the Malcolm Hotel for 2 nights in early September and whilst we there, the hotel and the staff were awesome. As is standard practice, they kept an imprint of our credit card and as we ch...We stayed at the Malcolm Hotel for 2 nights in early September and whilst we there, the hotel and the staff were awesome. As is standard practice, they kept an imprint of our credit card and as we checked out, we approved the charging of 381 Canadian dollars to that account. The next day I found 2 charges had been made to that card for the sum of approx 2,320 Canadian dollars. I phoned and got no help from the hotel and then our holiday agents chased on our behalf and eventually the amounts were taken off our credit card bill. WE were given absolutely NO EXPLANATION for what happened and it it is either huge incompetence or fraud. I would strongly advise anyone not to stay at this hotel. A real shame as so many of the staff were lovely. Suggest the management get a grip on the situation.Show More

The staff was extremely friendly and hospitable and the property was a great place to spend several days. The property is located in a mixed-use development with its own amenities but the Canmore town center is only about 5 minutes away by foot. We were able to pop in and out of town for shopping and food if we wanted. As a gateway to Banff and Jasper NPs, this was a perfect place to stay. We asked the concierge to set up a night hike for us and it was a great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly.Show More
