Plenty of restaurants, shopping, and sit...We just returned from a 5 day stay at The May Fair! What a wonderful first trip to London! We enjoyed this hotel very much. The location was perfect for us. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, and sites all within walking distance. Tube station right around the corner all very convenient. It is situated off the main road so there is not a lot of street noise. Lobby is very nice, people there to store your bags pre/post checkout, a doorman to assist with taxis, questions, bags, etc… our favorite was Francesco! He was always there with a smile on his face and a friendly greeting. Going above and beyond to provide top notch service. What a great first impression he provides for the hotel- so important in our opinion! The rooms are very spacious, as are the bathrooms. Larger than what we were expecting. Our room overlooked a courtyard so again, very quiet, downside was construction taking place on the other side. Not noisy at all but men on scaffolding we felt we needed to keep the blinds down most of the time. Daily housekeeping is provided and they are very attentive, they did miss us on Sunday we were wondering if that was a day off? Not sure but not a problem. Very nice restaurant with daily breakfast (we bought the package) and a nice bar we enjoyed some great cocktails pre and post dinner several nights. Excellent, attentive servers in the bar! I don’t think you can go wrong with the May Fair as long as you are ok with a brisk 10-20 minute walk to areas like Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Churchill War Room etc… for us we enjoyed being able to walk to the heavily trafficked tourist spots and then coming back to the less crowded more relaxing May Fair area!Show More

All the staff are attentive which is refreshing! The only downside are the construction works going on at the rear of the hotel as at 8am the noise starts but not enough to put us off our stay! One of the team behind the bar (we don’t get his name) was very knowledgable on the drinks we asked him questions about. All in all, great hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing and restaurants! When i arrived my accommodation was a bit uncomfortable and I immediately requested a change of accommodation. Not only he listened and actioned my request , he even extended the same gratitude to my friend. The extra care and attention was seen throughout my stay. Can’t wait to be back next year.Show More
