The property itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture, l...Dates: October 10–12, 2025  Room: Corner Grand Luxe Suite Our stay at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden was, overall, a mixed experience. The property itself is stunning, with beautiful architecture, lush greenery, and artistic design elements that make it one of the more unique hotels in Miami. Unfortunately, the execution and attention to detail did not quite match the promise of the concept. Noise and Comfort: For one of the more premium suites in the hotel, the noise level was unexpectedly high. We could clearly hear full conversations from the street below while in bed, which significantly detracted from the sense of comfort and privacy you would expect at this price point. This seems to be more of a structural or systemic issue that management should seriously consider addressing. Service and Staffing: It was evident that the large wedding hosted during our stay placed noticeable strain on the staff. Service delays and oversights were common, and it felt as though regular guests were deprioritized as the team focused on the event. This imbalance should have been anticipated and managed better by the leadership team. Communication and Housekeeping: Communication between departments, particularly between the front desk and housekeeping, was lacking. Despite requesting service, our room was never properly cleaned during the stay, and only towel replacements were provided. Reaching the front desk by phone was also difficult, as calls often went unanswered or were redirected without follow-up. Overall Impression: The Mayfair is an undeniably beautiful hotel with a distinctive and inspiring atmosphere. However, our experience highlighted several operational gaps that need attention, particularly in guest communication, service consistency, and soundproofing. With stronger management oversight, this property could easily live up to its full potential.Show More

To change or confirm an existing reservation you ar...The Mayfair deserves One Star because it intentionally makes it impossible to reach a human there by phone UNLESS you are making a NEW reservation. To change or confirm an existing reservation you are SOL. Voicemail only, and no call back EVER in two attempts. Moreover, the computer says to press 2 for an existing reservation, and when you do, it says you cannot discuss an existing reservation on this line and DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE CORRECT NUMBER FOR EXISTING RESERVATIONS. If you are not offering "new money" for a new reservation, forget it - the hotel wants nothing to do with you. I complained to the manager on duty. Let's hope it changes. Good luck with that. Other than that the hotel is ok - a little funky, a little muggy because its halls and some common area is not enclosed, no A/C. Architecturally interesting. But do not try to change a reservation - it will not happen.Show More

Marcela Vargas (Director of Events) and the entire team were exceptional—managing a large room block and our own accommodations, a beautiful rooftop cocktail hour, a seamless transition to dinner, dancing, and the after-party, and a lovely Sunday brunch. Even with our (admittedly) very high expectations, Marcela and her team—along with Rooms, Culinary, and Banquets—answered every call impeccably. Special shout-outs to the valet team; Lisette in Banquets; and Alejandro, David, Aron, Greg, Fernando, and Robert L. at the front desk. Most importantly, my sister and her new husband were over the moon on their big day. Wholeheartedly recommend for weddings and events.Show More

Mjög fínt að geta fengið kaffi á annarri hæð hótelsins, morgunmaturinn var ágætur (ég mæli með jógúrtinu) og ræktin dugði til. Sérstaklega langar mig að taka fram að starfsmaður á barnum á þakinu var mjög hjálpsamur, ásamt viðkomandi starfsmanni sem var í mótttökunni. Ef það er eitthvað sem mér fannst fara umfram minna væntinga þá var það stærð herbergisins á hótelinu, ótrúlega þægilegt eftir langt ferðalag!Show More
