I chose this hotel because I was in a pinch and the concert I wanted to go to was held at BCIS. It was a really good location if you wanted to make it there, about 5 minutes if you take a taxi, but...I chose this hotel because I was in a pinch and the concert I wanted to go to was held at BCIS. It was a really good location if you wanted to make it there, about 5 minutes if you take a taxi, but ~30 minutes if you walk. It's also in a scenic area (near the beach) so you can get a good amount of pretty photos there. The room itself was pretty clean in my opinion and the staff was pretty friendly and tried to help when able. I got there the day of the concert and I got there way before check-in (~9am), but they said they'd be able to hold my luggage and and let me know if it was ready earlier and I ended up being able to get into my room a little early. The breakfast was actually quite good and it's not your typical continental breakfast. I really enjoyed some of the Indonesian dishes I was able to try and I looked forward to eating the breakfast before I went about my day. The dish I ended up having a lot was the kue cubit, but a lot of their breakfast items are worth trying and if you are trying to save on food costs/traveling around, it's a good option.Show More

Center Ancol (having previously visited just before the pandemic). Overall, it was a good experience, and I truly appreciate the consistently professional, helpful, and friendly service from the staff. I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the efforts of both M.O.D.s during my stay. I had an urgent payment to complete and did not realize it could only be processed through a laptop or desktop. Unfortunately, I only had my mobile devices with me. Thankfully, Mr. Henri, the gentleman M.O.D., went out of his way to save the day! What a hero! Special Thanks also to Miss Dwi, who kindly arranged tape and scissors so I could finish a documentation project I was working on. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. The main reason I am giving a score of 8.7 instead of higher is due to the air conditioner in the room. It could not be switched off, only adjusted. Even after speaking with housekeeping and asking for help as the room was too cold, the constant flow of cold air continued. Unfortunately, this resulted in me catching a cold, and more than a week after departing I’m still unwell and coughing a lot. I kindly request that the hotel consider fixing this issue so guests have the option to fully turn off the air conditioner when needed. Of course, this is not the fault of any staff member, but sadly it affected the comfort of my stay. In room- slippers, amenities and bath towels were inadequate. Since there were only 2 towels available, we called "guest service" and asked for the additional bath towel for our child and face towel and/or hand towel but was rudely refused by the lady on the other end, she said the hotel doesn't provide hand towels/face towels, juts bath towels. Went to the receptionist to ask for the bath towel, waited for 30 minutes and no one showed up. Called the receptionist and was dismissed in a rude tone of voice that the housekeeping has been told and I should just wait. It is truly baffling that my most recent stays at All.Com properties in Amsterdam, Cologne and Brussels were a stark contrast and virtually impeccable where the staffs actually read the booking details and prepared everythingaccordingly. Yet this Mercure property was just infuriating and blatantly dysfunctional in all hospitality aspects. To top it all, the entire floor and room was reek of smoking smell although it was supposed to be a non-smoking room.Show More

Thank you for the great experience, and the guidance by Mas Retno. I hope next time we have event there, I can get the room with the beach view instead of parking lot, hahaha.
