The hotel is fairly new so our room was spacious and modern. I loved the location, walkable to Gion and Nishiki Market as well as shopping/restaurants/cafes and bus stops. Shijo subway station is also...The hotel is fairly new so our room was spacious and modern. I loved the location, walkable to Gion and Nishiki Market as well as shopping/restaurants/cafes and bus stops. Shijo subway station is also close. Beware that you do have to walk quite a bit to get to subway stations from anywhere in Kyoto anyway and we found buses to be more convenient. It was the most comfortable of the 3 hotels we stayed in during our trip. As a bonus they offer baggage delivery (paid) from their hotel by Kyoto station to other Mitsui Garden Hotels in Kyoto. Staff were extremely helpful with queries and also sending our bags to the airport. We didnt make use of it but there is a public bath in the hotel. I would stay here again if we go back to Kyoto.Show More

It tucked away just around the corner of a major shopping street, but surprisingly quiet. The onsen was a wonderful experience that made the stay worth it. We were fortunate that it was not busy in the mornings when we were ready to start our day :)Show More
