We were booked to stay at this hotel for 6 nights as my husband travelling for business. The 3rd night of our stay we came back late & when we entered the room a Mouse ran across our room floor and d...We were booked to stay at this hotel for 6 nights as my husband travelling for business. The 3rd night of our stay we came back late & when we entered the room a Mouse ran across our room floor and disappeared. We moved furniture around but could not see him. It was quite late (1:30 am) so we felt best to deal with in morning. Needless to say my sleep wasn’t good. The next morning I told the young man at front desk who apologized & offered to send someone up to set traps to catch it. All I could think of was being in the room listening to a struggling mouse trying to free himself so I said I’d consider but do nothing for now as we had to leave for day. That evening when we got back sure enough we saw a mouse again running along the floor in our room. . I went back down and said I could not stay in the room. They offered to move us to another room on same floor so I packed up all our stuff and moved to another room. The first night there I did not see a mouse HOWEVER the next afternoon I saw a Mouse in our new room! I quickly ran down to reception & said enough we are leaving and not paying for our room tonight. The man checked with his supervisor who said ok we didn’t have to pay for that night. The supervisor never even came out to the desk to talk to me about to apologize for our terrible experience ! 2 different rooms and mice sightings in both rooms When we were checking out my husband asked to speak with supervisor. She said this is rare (not for us). My husband requested refund of another night and she obliged which was the least she could do. I feel pest control is substandard in this hotel and mice are a frequent occurrence. I know this is a very old historic property in a fantastic location but this experience was very disappointing and I will not return. After reading previous reviews I see other guests have encountered mice in their rooms as well.Show More
