I have reviewed the Nomad before with positive comments however my latest stay had some unacceptable events. The first room we were given, # 32-66 , had an inoperable non-adjustable Air condition ther...I have reviewed the Nomad before with positive comments however my latest stay had some unacceptable events. The first room we were given, # 32-66 , had an inoperable non-adjustable Air condition thermostat. We did not notice it when we came in however when we returned to the room at about 22:00 the room was freezing. We called Guest services, they indicated they will get a Engineering staff shortly to come over. That did not happen. After repeated calls to Guest services for TWO HOURS, an Engineering Person showed up at midnight. he had no clue whatsoever as to the source of the problem, He was on his phone with another Tech who tried to guide him with troubleshooting including opening up ceiling Hatches to supposedly look for some valves. The Thermostat box itself on the wall was useless and looked like it was installed in 1975. After midnight i had enough and told him it was unacceptable that at midnight, he is trying to reconstruct and troubleshoot an A/C system in a Hotel that costs hundreds of Dollars per night with guests freezing in the room. NOTE: Outside temp in Vegas was in the low 60's at night and so was the room temperature. I informed the Tech to let the manager know we will not stay in this room and they need to move us (which we did not really want to do but had no choice). The night manager contacted us and to her credit did a fine job with providing another room and she also walked with me to the new room, #32-36 prior to the move so i can inspect that the A/C system there can be adjusted to a proper warm temperature fit for human habitation. I would like to note that it is 100% unacceptable that a hotel such as the Nomad has antiquated A/C system in its room. It was also 100% unacceptable to wait 2 Hours for a Tech to show up to the room and even more so unacceptable for a Tech that time of night, once realizing that the Thermostat is unusable to start opening up ceiling hatches and looking for the system inner mechanism. It also did not make technical sense since it should have been Crystal clear to any Tech staff that the room HAD TO HAVE a working thermostat where a guest can change Temperatures at will. What exactly was the point of looking for "valves"? what exactly did they want to do? Last but not least, I did have some Thermostat issues at the Nomad during some of my previous stays. It was again regarding Thermostats that did not function properly however those were more modern and the problem was fixed promptly.Show More

Check-in was smooth a...First time staying at NoMad and it’s now on the top of my list. Visited with my sister and we each had comped rooms through MGM rewards and they upgraded us to the Atelier rooms. Check-in was smooth and friendly and since we arrived at noon we were told we had to wait for our rooms to be available at 3:00. We received a text at 1:30 that our rooms were ready which was awesome! I’ve read on trip advisor that the hallways are dark - the whole ambiance of the hotel is a bit dark, mysterious, and quiet - which we loved! Our rooms were so nice. Lots of space and the setup is unique and it took me a few doors to find the toilet! There’s a shower and sink in one bathroom space and the across the entry way is a separate bathroom with a toilet and sink. Large space where the bed and couch are and then a beautiful bathtub in a little inlet. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! The only issue I had was figuring out the Nespresso coffee maker. It took my sister and me multiple attempts to figure out how to put the pods in and ended up having to google it! Helpful hint - It’s not like a Keurig machine -you put the small pods in sideways and they drop down to a container after they’re used. The best thing about the NoMad is that it’s quiet and calm. We didn’t have loud folks returning to their rooms in the middle of the night and we both felt like it was perfect for those of us older than 40! The NoMad pool was closed but Park pool was open although we didn’t use it. It’s very easy access to the Park casino (non smoking a plus) and Eately food court. We had food comps so used them there and at other resorts - Cosmo and NY NY. I’ve stayed at the Cosmo, Bellagio, NY NY and I’d say this is a perfect hotel for couples and those who want a quiet, non-partying place to stay. I plan on going back with my husband in the future. Highly recommend this hotel!Show More

My wife and I spent two nights at the Nomad...Wonderful hotel that strips away a lot of the Vegas gaudiness and leaves behind a cool luxurious vibe with well-appointed rooms and great, attentive staff. My wife and I spent two nights at the Nomad for a getaway weekend to celebrate her 40th bday without the kids. I gave them a heads up that was the occasion and they were kind enough to provide a nice hand written letter and complimentary bottle of bubbly for us to help us celebrate. I booked using my Amex Platinum, which also gave us early check-in -- our room was ready when we arrived at 10am on a Saturday! The MGM Rewards app is easy to use and helpful to get in and out without a physical key. We booked an Atelier room, which is smaller than a suite but bigger than a normal room. It has a soaking tub by the bed, which is fun if you're having a couples getaway. But it also has a separate toilet room which is nice too. Comfy bed too. We spent several hours at the Park MGM pools, since the Nomad one was already closed for the season, and we had a delightful time with great service. That was a constant during our stay. We were also super grateful to be able to enjoy a Vegas vacation without having to walk into a smoke-filled chamber (The Nomad / Park MGM are smoke-free), while also getting easy access to some fun, affordable betting tables and a solid sports book, if that's your thing. Overall, LOVED our experience at The Nomad and it is 100% the place we'll stay at the next time we go to Vegas.Show More

Living in CA and having stayed in most of the hotels on the strip, some several times, this was our first stay at the NOMAD, and we could not be more impressed! From arrival to departure, our experience (and that of our Pup) throughout our stay was OUTSTANDING. Loved the smoke free, calmer ambiance, but with all the amenities of a larger casino as well, in the perfect strip location. The room was beautiful (loved the bath in the bedroom). The Pool area and service was fantastic, as were the restaurants we tried. Our small dog was made to feel very welcome and special and enjoyed sniffs at the nearby clean enclosed doggie relief area, as well as numerous treats from different members of staff. Speaking of staff, we received EXCEPTIONAL assistance from the Concierge, RON ATKINS. I think he is the Concierge team manager, but if he isn’t - he should be! Every interaction with Ron was extremely warm, personable and highly professional. Ron is an absolute asset to the NOMAD hotel and the entire guest experience, he made this a truly memorable stay. The NOMAD is now, without a doubt, our new LV favorite! We are very much looking forward to coming back soon.Show More
