My experience here was honestly the worst I’ve ever had at an Omni, and that’s especially disappointing since this was meant to be a birthday weekend celebration. I booked a Premier Executive Terrace Room, expecting a high-end, comfortable space as shown in the photos online. Instead, what I got was a room that felt neglected and nowhere near the Omni standard. The headboard had chunks missing from the foam, the shower curtain was stained, and even the iron leaked water when used. The room overall just felt tired and poorly maintained — definitely not what you’d expect for the price or from a brand like Omni. The customer service was almost non-existent. There was no welcome or acknowledgment as a Select Guest member, no information provided about hotel amenities, restaurant hours, Wi-Fi access, or even basic details about the property. The front desk staff were dismissive and unhelpful, and when I tried to reach a manager (three separate times), no one ever answered. For a hotel that markets itself as upscale, the level of professionalism and hospitality was shockingly poor. To be fair, the only bright spot in my stay was Loyal Ambassador Jennifer Torres. She was absolutely wonderful — kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make me feel valued and to try to turn things around. Her service was the only redeeming part of the entire experience. Overall, this hotel is not worth the price, and the photos online are misleading. What’s advertised as a “Premier Executive Terrace Room” feels more like a mid-tier room in serious need of maintenance and management oversight. There are many better options in NYC at this price point — places that actually deliver on service, cleanliness, and the kind of experience you expect when you book a premium hotel. Sadly, I won’t be staying at the Omni Berkshire again.Show More

Every staff person we encountered was beyond gracious, kind, and helpful, many times going above and beyond, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and smelled wonderful. The bath toiletries (which I wasn't sure they provided, as nothing was listed on their website) were perfect. Our beds and pillows -- two double beds -- were extremely comfortable so we both slept well every night. Also, the noise level was much less than our previous stay in a different hotel a few years ago. Berk's Restaurant was decorated to the hilt, Christmas bursting throughout, a sidewalk view of 52nd Street out the window while we ate. The food was amazing for breakfast. Maybe a little on the pricy side -- it is New York City, after all -- but they served generous portions. The hotel's location was exactly what we needed for our reservations and events planned -- either close enough to walk easily, or catch a taxi quickly with the expert help of the doormen. Big shout-out to Mr. William who recommended the flat fee luxury ride to LaGuardia, which actually cost us less than the awful taxi ride from the airport to the hotel. On our return to NYC, we would not hesitate to stay at the Omni Berkshire again.Show More

Multiple dining options around, but we liked doing tea and coffee in the room and walking downstairs/Starbucks/McDonalds/Toasties/Dunkin for a simple muffin or whatever. Diner options or fancy French breakfast options are walkable. This hotel has traditional amenities, like daily housekeeping (not ‘you need to request it”), Bellmen and Doormen, staffed Front Desk, Room Service, Laundry, newspapers, etc. Fixed price Black Cars to the airports. This is a great location walkable to the world’s best shopping, world class museums, and 5 minutes to the subway that takes you around the city. Joggers can walk to Central Park and then start their run, then cool down with a walk back. Especially close to St. Patricks and Rockefeller.Show More
