This means the hotel is easy to get to if ...The location of this hotel is actually much better than one might think at a first glance. It is located just outside the zone that restricts access to cars. This means the hotel is easy to get to if you travel by car. It also has its own garage - very handy. The walk to the centre of the Florence attractions is nice - along the Arno banks or in the streets full of shops, cafés and restaurants, and is only about 15 minutes. The hotel is in very good condition in all aspects and tastefully decorated. The staff is very efficient, helpful and friendly, whether they are at the front desk, the bar or the breakfast. The room we had was very spacious and with high ceiling. The shower room was also spacious and has a very good shower.. The bed was very comfortable. And we couldn't hear anything from neighbouring rooms or the hallway and elevator. The bar serves very good cocktails that one can enjoy in the comfortable and nicely laid out outdoor sitting area. The breakfast is very good - coffee, tea, breads, fresh fruits, etc., etc. All very good quality and generous.Show More

Also don't expect a room with a nice view unless you really figure out what they have with a nice view. Although we were on a higher floor, our view was worthless. I understood the outside laundry service was closed on Sundays and we were leaving early Monday morning. So I made it clear that I needed my bag of clothes back by Saturday evening. That seemed fine when I dropped my bag off on Friday evening with reception. And the paperwork said it would be done by 8 pm Saturday. But it wasn't back on Saturday evening and the receptionist said he couldn't do anything because the laundry was closed. On Sunday morning a different receptionist understood our situation, called the laundry service even though it was closed and got our clothes back (though we had to follow up at least once more). But the clothes had a bad smell like mold or body odor even though they were pressed. And the hotel charged about 130 euros! For my wife's clothes, we found a good Laundry King a few blocks northeast, for about 10 euros, and the results were fine. The lobby areas were nice, probably 4 stars. The beds were okay. The location was acceptable if you don't mind a longer walk to the main attractions and better restaurants.Show More

Aucun plat chaud. Ce n'est pas le buffet d'un hôtel qui se veut 4 étoiles. Par ailleurs, il existe un petit snack bar pour les fins de soirée mais le personnel semble un peu débordé. Oubli de changer les draps alors qu'il est précisé qu'il sont changé tous les deux jours. Il est regrettable que la direction ne tienne pas compte de ces commentaires qui ont été par ailleurs formulés à plusieurs reprises par d'autres clients booking. We arrived 5 hours before check-in and reception arranged for our room to be prepared while we had coffee outside in the courtyard. Enrico and Dario were so helpful, knowledgeable and ready to assist. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-15 minute walk to most of the main attractions. The neighbourhood is quiet at night and perfect if you don't like a lot of noise. The beds were very comfortable and I requested a specific pillow prior to our arrival which they provided. The bar staff were friendly and efficient and the prices were reasonable when compared to other hotels and restaurants closer to the city. As an added bonus there is a great little gym downstairs as well as a sauna. This was a 10 out of 10 experience!Show More
