We stayed two nights in a superior room on the way home from another destination. We have stayed here several times in the past and it has a lot going for it. It’s close to the beach, just continue ...We stayed two nights in a superior room on the way home from another destination. We have stayed here several times in the past and it has a lot going for it. It’s close to the beach, just continue down the laneway from the resort. It’s also close to shops, restaurants, and a supermarket, all easy walking distance. The grounds and pool area have always been beautiful and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The superior rooms are upstairs, one or two flights but the staff will assist with bags. These rooms have a nice balcony, all with outlooks over the pool area. For people like us who don’t enjoy the large hotels with lots of people, Parigata is a great option. It’s fairly small and feels like a little oasis. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a good fridge and aircon, and the WiFi works well. The bathrooms are old-style with shower in bath and a curtain (which we don’t like), and the water pressure and shower heads are not great. They really do need to upgrade the bathrooms; they’ve been the same for many years since we started coming here. The only other negative for this trip was that we organised an airport pickup with the hotel, and gave them our flight details, confirming at least 3 times that we were arriving at the domestic terminal. On arrival we couldn’t find our driver and eventually found that he was waiting at the international terminal. This left us waiting out in the heat for 30 minutes and then his car was in poor condition, the aircon didn’t work well and he took the long route (no money for tolls?) to Sanur, the trip took over an hour. So when we finally arrived at the hotel after check-in time of 2pm and they said our room wasn’t ready, this tipped us hot and grumpy people over the edge. They addressed it quickly and changed us to another room which was ready so we did get over it and enjoyed the rest of our stay. We did ask them not to use that driver again, he also asked us for money to get out of the airport! Breakfasts are great with plenty of options and we had a light lunch at the restaurant which was also nice. Overall we ended up happy and would stay at Parigata again.Show More

The staff were always helpful and friendly, and there was always someone...This was a lovely little hotel in Sanur in a great location. Not right on the beach but just down an alley and you are there. The staff were always helpful and friendly, and there was always someone at the counter to help. Breakfast was included each morning and it was A la Carte - but there were 4 different breakfast types to choose from and each one had at least 4 courses. We never ordered everything and always walked away full. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times as well, and the food was very well priced and enjoyable. They even let us have A la carte on the night they had traditional dancing (which was a set menu), as we wanted to see the show but didn't love the set menu. The room was clean, a good size with a little verandah and the bed was quite comfy. We used the pool a few times and the only complaint there would be that the loungers were a bit close together and a couple of extra umbrellas would be good for those in the sun. We hired bicycles from the hotel at $5 a day which we used the whole time we were there. I also left my headphones in the room when we left and, it was a bit tricky to get onto the hotel, but once I had the What'sApp number I contacted them and they made sure they held them in the office until I got back the next week. I did not have any complaints about this hotel - yes it is a bit old and tired, but it was quiet, clean and had great staff.Show More

I did enjoy staying at Parigata. It has a nice open feeling upon entry and the pool and surrounds are beautiful. No hope of getting a sunbed when the guests hog them and just don't move. I swam for the 3 days I was there and never got a lounge and I wasn't the only one. Space is limited but even a few chairs around to sit on after your swim and have a drink, would be doable. The room was great - spacious and comfortable, with a nice balcony. However, I am not a fan of showers over a bath, with a shower curtain. It was difficult to stop the area flooding, even with a quick shower. Personally, I think just showers are much better (and glass partitions or doors, no curtains) where you have room to stand properly without your feet curving up the sides of a bath. And who wants a bath where people have been standing with their stinky feet in them? Such a gross concept. The breakfast's are great. Lots of choice. I did ask for an iced lemon tea for breakfast and they were going to charge extra which I thought a bit rough, so I just left it. I was a solo traveller that paid for a double room and really was entitled to two breakfasts. I will point that out next time. The location was good. Close to the beach, Artesedana supermarket and lots of great restaurants. I do recommend.Show More

We are like many others who keep returning to our home away from home in Bali. The Parigata is in great location close to the beach with many good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are spacious with balconies and king size clean comfortable beds. Their fantastic friendly staff are always willing to help and assist in making you feel at home. Restaurant has a quality/healthy menu selection and their breakfast is plentiful and served at your table. Swimming pool is a reasonable size and always very clean. Pool lounges need an upgrade.
