The staff were soooo lovely here. The room was really nice, as was the pool. The only let down was our bathroom - it just didn’t feel clean & the shower & sink drains were not draining. I booked this last minute as I was travelling in the area. The reviews were mixed and mine is the same. This property appears to have been ‘grand’ in its time but has sadly been allowed to slip into d...I booked this last minute as I was travelling in the area. The reviews were mixed and mine is the same. This property appears to have been ‘grand’ in its time but has sadly been allowed to slip into disrepair. It’s ideally located on the main road through the village - it is close to some nice bars and eateries. The beach is not far away at all. We hired a moped which allowed us to visit the island and see more. Be aware, boat arrivals and departures are usually from Mushroom Beach which is approx. 3 miles away. For me, customer service was not good in the sense that staff were not happy or friendly towards us which has not been the reception or service I’ve had in other areas of Bali or local islands. The room was spacious but old and the bathroom was not clean. The pool area including beds is also dated and not clean. Beach towels were provided but they were also old and had stains. My final point to add is that I have stayed in 5 areas of Bali over 16 days - the restaurant here was over whelmed with flies and it is the only hotel room where I received insect bites. As such we only ate one breakfast here as I was not inspired to eat or use the facilities. It would not take much to make this place nice again, it just feels unloved! Show More
