We had to ...We have stayed in a Ramada hotel before elsewhere and it was lovely but this one was well run down, the staff overall were lovely but the cleanliness of the rooms were absolutely terrible. We had to get our room changed due to mould all up the curtains and especially in the bathroom, there is very poor ventilation in the bathroom so was mould everywhere. Rooms were very hot and the windows can’t be opened, air con doesn’t work very well, we did have a fan that we took from our first room to help with the heat. There was ants on the breakfast area near the juice and also my sister had an ant infestation in her room. The kids beds are so uncomfortable you can feel the springs on the mattresses, we did ask for extra bed covers which they gave us to try help make the beds more comfortable but both kids still said it didn’t help. We asked for our room to get cleaned with fresh towels and bedding which never happened so we complained about it, they gave us towels and emptied the bins but did do bedding the next day but never hoovered the room once whilst we stayed. The plug situation is terrible, there is no plugs next to the beds for charging your phones and there was only 2 plugs in the entire room one which we had the fan on constant so only left us with one plug to charge or use so ended up buying an extension with plugs on it so we were able to charge all our things etc. Sister was given a travel cot but it was covered in stains so requested a new one which she got.Show More

There was wear and tear to parts of the room which didn’t really bother us but we did expect more from a Ramada hotel. The room could also do with more plug sockets. 2 sockets in a triple room when a fan (which didn’t rotate and was rickety) needed to be plugged in as the room was so hot which left one socket for the tv, kettle, our hair driers, straighteners and phone chargers. The restaurant was more like a canteen. We only had breakfast which was buffet style. On the photos it looked amazing. However, there was no choice of egg, only scrambled and no black pudding. There was no fruit on either day and on the Saturday there was one croissant which looked like it had been sat on. We had to ask for the coffee machine to be fixed and although the waitress did fix it, I got the impression she wasn’t very happy. When getting juice, I noticed ants on the drip tray. On the Sunday, there were 2 staff working. The majority of the tables were uncleared. We had to ask for plates so we could get our breakfast. The breads, pastries and juices were empty. One of the waiters had been asked for things to be filled up but again it seemed like a huge effort and the only thing filled up while we were there was the juices. Again when getting our juice there were ants on the drip trays. I heard another guest mention it the waiter and he just wiped them into the drip tray. Show More

The shower had water pressure! There were only two outlets in the entire room and one was dedicated to the fan. The biggest issue we had was heat. The air con was out, and were were staying in a heat wave. The room's window only opened a tiny sliver due to a cable lock, so we could not get relief even at night. The fan's cord was not long enough to reach to the window to attempt to suck in some cooler air. The hotel was not that close to any transit. The closest bus stops were 3/4 of a mile away. Granted, it was a very pleasant walk through a park. Also, uber and food delivery were sometimes very confused how to get to the hotel. It was in a motorist service area off the M1, but there was a service entrance in a sketch alley in the back. Some folks knew about it, others did not. Made for some amount of confusion. Not a lot of dining nearby either. This hotel would have been much better if we had access to a vehicle. And functioning air con, or at least a window that would open more than a sliver. Show More

This is unfair and blatant extortionate. Also, the walls are so thin you hear everything around you. Next door was another family and the kids were playing up to 3am. We could barely sleep and my child kept being woken up. We booked a family room where we paid extra but it was just a standard double room with single mattresses on the floor. The mattresses were very uncomfortable as it was cheap spring mattresses. You could feel the springs digging into you back. The room as has just 2 socket plugs, and one is already plugged into the TV. In summary the stay was underwhelming and the rate they charge is absolutely not worth the experience. Show More
