Overall, our entire team had an outstanding experience at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel. The property itself was beautiful, the location across from Dallas Market Hall was extremely convenient, and the staff provided consistently excellent service. Many team members commented that this was one of the best hotels they’ve stayed in, with friendly and accommodating employees who made them feel welcome and well cared for throughout the week.
Highlights:
• The hotel’s proximity to the event venue at the Dallas Market Hall was a major advantage and made logistics effortless (literally a 1 minute walk across the street).
• Breakfast received the most praise, described as “delicious,” “the best I’ve ever had,” and a highlight of the stay.
• The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and many appreciated the great showers, pool, hot tub, and access to laundry.
• Staff service was excellent, with multiple mentions of team members going above and beyond to help.
• Many attendees described the atmosphere as relaxing and “home away from home.”
Hotel Team Member Highlights:
• We’d like to specifically recognize Colleen Schaefer, our Event Manager, who was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was instrumental in helping us get all of our room assignments organized and set up properly, and she handled every question we sent her way with kindness, patience, and efficiency. Her responsiveness and professionalism made the entire planning process seamless and stress-free.
• We’d also like to recognize Wesley at the front desk, who was a standout during our entire stay. He went above and beyond to help us resolve check-in details, parking questions, and breakfast clarifications. He was consistently gracious, friendly, and eager to help with anything our team needed. Several of our staff members mentioned how much they appreciated his exceptional service and positive attitude.
Constructive Feedback / Areas for Improvement:
• A few rooms experienced plumbing issues (slow or clogged drains) and nonworking refrigerators or phones.
• Several guests mentioned wishing rooms included a microwave for reheating food.
Overall Sentiment:
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, most guests rated their experience as excellent, with words like amazing, beautiful, convenient, clean, and comfortable used repeatedly. The breakfast and staff service were particular standouts. Several people said they’d love to stay here again for future PlantCon events, and one of our directors called this her “top hotel experience so far for any event.”show more
