Visited here for 2 night on business in October 2025. I am currently Bonvoy Gold. Positives: -Relatively convenient to DFW (and Love Field). Maybe a 20 minute Uber to/from DFW. Also very close ...Visited here for 2 night on business in October 2025. I am currently Bonvoy Gold. Positives: -Relatively convenient to DFW (and Love Field). Maybe a 20 minute Uber to/from DFW. Also very close to a major highway. -Lobby area was incredibly clean and smelled fresh. -Front desk clerk (Zachary) was friendly and provided me with some local information about areas for a morning run (a nearby running path). He also had a water bottle for me after a morning run. -Lobby restaurant (Asador?) was excellent for breakfast. It was just a simple buffet, but everything tasted really good. Service was also very good. Also ate her for dinner on my 2nd night, and again, the food and service were both excellent. -Hotel fitness center was spacious and well equipped. I especially liked their chilled menthol washcloths. -Bed and pillows were both comfortable. Negatives: -No Bonvoy recognition at check-in and no upgrade. Not the end of the world honestly, but it’s nice when it happens. -5th floor room (1 King) was small. Bathroom vanity was small and had NO counter space. No room for personal toiletries. -Room TV (a ‘smart’ TV) didn’t work. Every channel was scrambled and the ‘smart’ streaming features also did not work. While I don’t normally watch TV in hotel rooms, it was during MLB playoffs and I wanted to watch at night in my room. -The bathroom toiletries….they had Aveda (rosemary mint) hair products but some random ‘Kevin Murphy’ soap/body wash. The aveda prducts smell fantastic but the soap and body wash were horrible; very perfume-y. Renaissance hotels should just stick with Aveda. This made it look like the hotel was not paying attention to smaller details that make a positive guest experience. 1st world problem I know, but there is a level of expectation and the attention to detail was lacking. -While the fitness center was nice, it was on the top floor requiring walking 2 flights of stairs. It was also connected to the pool. Pool looked nice, but it was always so crowded that you couldn’t really swim and also unsupervised kids. Also, the water dispenser in the fitness center dispensed warm water. Not good when working out. -Hotel is convenient to local airports, but it also feels like it’s located in an abandoned warehouse parking lot. The area around the hotel was just kinda desolate. Hard to describe. -Hotel was hosting the OK football team ahead of the weekend game vs Texas. Because of this, the hotel was mobbed causing long elevator wait times and also VERY crowded lobby area filled with fans and autograph seekers. -Lobby coffee shop….on day one, the gentleman working the counter did a nice job of getting me something to drink (iced tea) and had to go back into the kitchen to get it. On the 2nd morning, I ordered the same thing, and his response was ‘sorry, we don’t have any’ without ever checking in the kitchen (and they certainly had it). That inconsistent experience detracted from the quality of my stay. -The toilet/tub/shower room was large but….still using a shower curtain? Come on, everyone knows a glass enclosed shower is the reasonable expectation now. Also, the ceiling in that room leaked. Every 30 minutes or so, water would treat down from the ceiling above the tub and make a wet mess on the floor. It was always like this. The water was coming from a large metal plate in the ceiling above the tub. My guess is there was previously a repaired leak that they then covered with the metal plate….but the leak was still happening. I have included pictures. Aside from the restaurant, the hotel was just meh. There are certainly better hotels in the Dallas area that also provide a good guest experience. This hotel needs some TLC and attention to detail.Show More

Overall, our entire team had an outstanding experience at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel. The property itself was beautiful, the location across from Dallas Market Hall was extremely convenient, and the staff provided consistently excellent service. Many team members commented that this was one of the best hotels they’ve stayed in, with friendly and accommodating employees who made them feel welcome and well cared for throughout the week. Highlights: • The hotel’s proximity to the event venue at the Dallas Market Hall was a major advantage and made logistics effortless (literally a 1 minute walk across the street). • Breakfast received the most praise, described as “delicious,” “the best I’ve ever had,” and a highlight of the stay. • The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and many appreciated the great showers, pool, hot tub, and access to laundry. • Staff service was excellent, with multiple mentions of team members going above and beyond to help. • Many attendees described the atmosphere as relaxing and “home away from home.” Hotel Team Member Highlights: • We’d like to specifically recognize Colleen Schaefer, our Event Manager, who was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was instrumental in helping us get all of our room assignments organized and set up properly, and she handled every question we sent her way with kindness, patience, and efficiency. Her responsiveness and professionalism made the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. • We’d also like to recognize Wesley at the front desk, who was a standout during our entire stay. He went above and beyond to help us resolve check-in details, parking questions, and breakfast clarifications. He was consistently gracious, friendly, and eager to help with anything our team needed. Several of our staff members mentioned how much they appreciated his exceptional service and positive attitude. Constructive Feedback / Areas for Improvement: • A few rooms experienced plumbing issues (slow or clogged drains) and nonworking refrigerators or phones. • Several guests mentioned wishing rooms included a microwave for reheating food. Overall Sentiment: Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, most guests rated their experience as excellent, with words like amazing, beautiful, convenient, clean, and comfortable used repeatedly. The breakfast and staff service were particular standouts. Several people said they’d love to stay here again for future PlantCon events, and one of our directors called this her “top hotel experience so far for any event.”Show More

Good upgrade to a suite, roomy, comfy, bedroom and nice sized bathroom, with a living room and a nice sized table. Nice valet parking where the guys always took care of our rental. Paul and Vincent was always there in a timely matter for our car. The roof top pool very good, nice condition, water was not cold, clean and even tho you couldn't see the sky line due to the high walls, it was very sunny and relaxing. Plenty of lounge chairs to choose from and towels. Only negative item was there was no guests elevator. You have to notify the front desk and meet security on your floor and they will escort you thru to the gym floor and then you're on your own. It is a service type elevator that goes to the pool top area. If you get off the 30th floor then you have to climb up the metal stairs to the pool deck. We figured it out!!! Overall, nice stay, comfy rooms, nice staff, nice lobby bar and restaurant where we didn't eat at. We did the lounge on the 27th floor, where there was a very nice breakfast where you can start the day!!! Enjoy your stay!!!Show More

It’s absolute unacceptable. When we politely came to speak to someone about our situation, Wesley dismissed us and acted like it was of no concern, no sympathy, could care less and was incredibly unprofessional. When we asked him his name he acted all high and mighty and said “you know what it is.” You would think that they would have handled the situation better and with compassion especially since it was their issue and not our mistake. On top of the unfortunate situation he never gave us a clear reason for the change except that it was overbooking. Jordan, the front desk manager, handled the situation with care but unfortunately we were still left with no hotel room close by or of equal property amenities. We are Marriott Bonvoy members and have never been treated this way.Show More
