The room very very small. There was very little room to store any items on a table, no place to put your suitcase so it was constantly in the way. Bathtoom was really small. Bathtoom was really small. You could not get dressed in the bathroom if you tried and the shower cubicle was very tight. My elbows kept hitting the sides when showering (I am a size 8). The bathroom was run down with patchwork done and mould in the shower cubicle. Bath towels were lovely though. Carpet was filthy, I did not walk barefoot at all which is annoying after you want to kick your shoes iff after a day of walking thousands of steps! 2 lifts in the building. 1 which went from reception to 1st floor and then you had to switch to another lift from floor 1 to floor 8. This lift barely fits 2 people and their suitcases in. Very small lift. We were on the 8th floor which meant at times we were waiting over 15mins for the lift.Show More

The concierge was very friendly and welcoming, told us about all the important landmarks and explained how to get there. They can also help you book any tours or reserve tickets if needed. The hotel itself lives up to its name - it's a true palace with a very elegant and intricate design. The location is perfect too - most tourist attractions are just walking-distance away, and there's also a metro nearby. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely recommend River Palace Hotel to all friends who are planning to visit The Eternal City. P.S. I want to thank the hotel staff for a small gift and a heartwarming note with birthday wishes, it was such a lovely touch! Grazie mille per tutto! ❤️Show More
