Absolutely fantastic. But what really makes the difference compared to other five-star hotels I have stayed in are the people. From the very first moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were greeted with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. At reception, everything was explained perfectly by Octavian, and we were given a tour of the hotel. Even though we arrived early, our room was already prepared, and we were personally shown to it with great care and attention. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to the entire Concierge Team, who were able to arrange wonderful last-minute tickets for the Vatican Museums and Villa Borghese, even though they were officially sold out. We were also very grateful and delighted with all the excellent restaurant and café recommendations. Marina, Alessio, Tito, and the whole team were simply outstanding. Furthermore, we would like to thank you for the incredible breakfast experience. Another highlight on our short vacation was Mario and his team. They made each morning truly special with their warm, attentive, and genuine hospitality. Mario surprised us every day with wonderful local specialties that we would never have discovered without him. It was simply perfect. A big thank you also to all the other team members we did not have the chance to meet in person this time. I am already very much looking forward to hopefully returning soon to the beautiful Hotel de Russie.Show More

Before check-in Catarina was lovely to email with and arranged a beautiful romance package with balloons, flowers, and Champaign that was in our room when we arrived. When checking in, Tito the tall concierge, was incredibly helpful booking us a private tour on the spot! Donatello checked us in and did a fabulous job helping us feel right at home in the hotel. We had a lovely dinner which Alberto served our table and did an amazing job… BUT nothing compared to the service and the spirit that we received from Mario (and Honey) at breakfast in the garden. From the moment we walked in, Mario’s spirit was incredibly warm and welcoming. He and Honey ensured that we got everything that we wanted and we had such a great experience because of their kindness and prompt service! They were the highlight of our stay. On this trip, we’ve been to Amalfi, Lake Como, and Florence… and the service at this hotel was the best that we received any place that we have been to! It was the most magical experience. We returned this year to celebrate our anniversary and despite incredibly high expectations, the hotel and its wonderful staff somehow managed to exceed them. Having stayed in many of the world’s best hotels this is somehow a cut above the rest. The food is incredible, the rooms are refined and tastefully appointed and the atmosphere is sophisticated, understated and always welcoming. The real jewel in the hotels crown is however it’s wonderful, charming and attentive staff. They cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and looked after and they work incredibly hard to ensure their guests enjoy their experience. Too many fantastic people to name but a very special thank you to Antonio who looked after us for each breakfast and made the day of our anniversary so memorable. This is my first ever trip to Italy and I heard a lot of negative comments about the general hotel experience in Rome from my friends.But I was amazed of how friendly, helpful, and welcoming the staff...This is my first ever trip to Italy and I heard a lot of negative comments about the general hotel experience in Rome from my friends.But I was amazed of how friendly, helpful, and welcoming the staff of the De Russie Hotel were with me. They have an amazing breakfast buffet and service which was included in my stay. The hotel in general has a very nice atmosphere and is very relaxing despite being in the heart of busy Rome. I loved the restaurant where I used to have my breakfast where I started the day and went from there onward to explore this amazingly vibrant crazy city the staff there were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. There is no question about where I would stay the next time I decide to visit RomeShow More
