I came to the hotel for a business trip, also decided to stay an extra night in Lisbon and decided to stay at the hotel instead of going to a more highly popular competition chain. First mistake. Wh...I came to the hotel for a business trip, also decided to stay an extra night in Lisbon and decided to stay at the hotel instead of going to a more highly popular competition chain. First mistake. When I checked in the front dest person was not friendly. Did not even give a smile. 2nd. Got to my room to find no iron, light shade broken on the floor. 3. The soap dispenser we not either fill or broken meanings the cleaner did not do their job. 4. Requested a ice bucket with ice. After 5 hrs. Had to go down to the bar to get some ice. At the point I was given a plastic bag with some ice. I asked it is it not possible to get a ice bucket. I was then told an ice bucket cost 5€. I was shock. I stay in hotels all over the world never had I have to pay for ice and a bucket. They staff attitude was: it's a Portuguese rule. If you go to the shop you will pay 5¢ for ice. 5. Asked for an iron was told there is a 30 min rule I. 6. Towels are roughly. 7. Only 3 hangers in the closet for 2 people This is a joke hotel, if you have the option to stay somewhere else. TAKE IT. I've got 2 more nights, Will update after trying breakfast.show more

Firstly I need to say that I have stayed at this hotel before, and the reasons I have gone back are multiple - the very kind, helpful and friendly staff who all seem to have excellent memories for pre...Firstly I need to say that I have stayed at this hotel before, and the reasons I have gone back are multiple - the very kind, helpful and friendly staff who all seem to have excellent memories for previous clients, who attended to all I needed without any hesitation; cleanliness good in all areas, without exception; the large lounge bar provides comfortable seating and space enough to have meetings with visiting friends in private; meals are available in the bar without having to go to the large restaurant, and catered for my particular tastes and allergies; more than enough choice for breakfast in the restaurant, repeating again that I have certain food allergies and am a vegetarian; taxis available very quickly and at reasonable prices; near enough to the life of Lisbon without the noisy hubbub and also as a solo traveller, the very important feeling of safety! - A huge thank you to all at Sana Metropolitan!show more
