I had chosen this one for a suprise trip for my partners 50th Birthday. I chosen this one for the classy decor that was more masculin. Being quite spiritual , i loved the statues ect. The hotel is in a perfect Times Square location near the Theaters. Its perfect and with the subway just a few minutes walk away...another winner. Check in was busy but they had plenty of staff. I love the doormen that always welcome you in with a smile. We were checked in by Jimmy who has the American charm. Something i didnt have from my previous time in New York. He offered a bottle of Champaign to celebrate my partners 50th. We didn't actually see this but we were so busy i didnt want to ask where it was.The gesture was lovely anyway. We could come and go as we pleased. Had two room keys. The room was immaculate, small but cosy. Perfect for our stay. The bed was comfortable. Minibar in the room if you should need to use it. We didn't but it was well stocked up. We used the rooftop bar Haven for a bite to eat and a few drinks before our night out. i think the shared platter of sliders would be better as 4 and not 3....they were too tasty. We had paid in our holiday package for breakfast. Honestly i was concerned originally about staying here because the breakfast reviews wasnt great. Ignore them... they have made some fabulous changes. Plenty of scrambled eggs, sausages , bacon and potaote things. cereals, juice, bagles , pastries... all the things to go with this... drinks that you can take out with you. Honestly please thank the kitchen staff. Great spread...and coffee. The hotel is cleaned everyday... my room was fabulous. Please let me know what the air fragrance you use in the Lobby areas.... i would buy that. Bathroom has shampoos, moisturiser which i used often. i do which the soap was more like a liquid but still very greatful to have soap! The only thing i didn't like was on one occasion- we came back to our cleaned room for a few hours then popped out for 2 hours in the evening. We walked in to the tv on...and the bed duvet turned back. This confused me why someone had been in our room again when it had already been cleaned. It made me feel like someone been there when shouldnt? It was our 3rd or 4th day of stay so through me abit. Almost like a ghost had been there lol. We only heard noise from doors slamming in the daytime from the housekeeping service but this wasnt all the time and we were mostly out in the day. We had asked for a floor not near the rooftop following advice from another review on here. We also asked for a room with a window. No view as such but at least we had daylight. Our checkout was easy , we left early hours due to our flight. We asked the night Receptionist for our invoice and he took note of my email address but nothing was recieved. I have only just chased this up a few weeks later and still awaiting my deposit back which was explained at check in that it may take upto 4 weeks due to the credit card i used. Perfect location, lovely boutique hotel and happy staff which always creates a lovely energy. I would definantly choose again in the future...Thank you.Show More

But really the problem is the small frosted window. If you are at all claustrophobic, I don’t recommend staying here. Not at all worth the $600+ per night I paid. There is also the matter of pricing. Upon arrival, we learned that my friend, who was staying in a Superior Queen room—a better room—was paying only $300 a night. Not only that, but they offered to upgrade her to a large double room at no extra charge. I spent my three days at the hotel talking to various front desk staff, as well as the manager, to try to understand the logic of a bigger room at half the price. There was a lot of gaslighting and explaining away. I was told things like, “it makes sense that a larger room is cheaper,” and “well, she booked through a third-party site and that is cheaper.” In the end, I was promised a follow-up by the manager about refunding some of my money, but after calling and emailing, have gotten no response from him or from the VP address I got from their “how was your stay” email. I know you can’t expect large rooms in NYC, but I do expect a consistent experience and to pay less for a lower quality room. I won’t be staying here next time I’m in NYC and don’t recommend anyone else does either.Show More

Wir konnten vor der vereinbarten Zeit im Hotel einchecken und die Zimmer beziehen. Am Empfang standen Wasser, Tee und Kaffee kostenfrei zur Verfügung. Vor der Tür standen immer ein bis zwei Mitarbeiter, die darauf geachtet haben, dass auch nur Hotelgäste oder Gäste für die Rooftopbar hineingingen. Die Zimmer waren zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Es gab einen großen Fernseher und eine Minibar. Die Dusche war groß und hatte auch einen Rainshower.Show More

The bed was very comfy, small space for clothes wasn’t really enjoy for two people, however reading someone stating that you couldn’t open two suitcases at the same time is rubbish, and we had very big cases for myself and my wife, they must’ve had shipping containers they couldn’t open… anyway I digress, the shower is ‘in the room’ but can be shielded by a curtain if you wish, but was fully enclosed large shower and was a very good shower. Breakfast was perfectly fine and it had more than just pastries! Sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, small potatoes, cereals, hot drinks, cold drinks, bagels, bread (both which could be toasted) and of course small pastries! We had the smallest room type but it was fine for us, had a great sleep every night. Staff were great, all very helpful. Very clean and comfortable throughout. If you want to go to New York especially for your first trip and want to be central then this is ideal. If you want to go to New York and not go out and eat in your room instead of at restaurant you may as well stay at home, this hotel however will be ideal as a base.Show More
