Went on an AI holiday with my mum - this was our first time at the Sandos Monaco although have stayed in other Sandos properties before and damm what a fun packed hotel, lots on offer and nothing too ...Went on an AI holiday with my mum - this was our first time at the Sandos Monaco although have stayed in other Sandos properties before and damm what a fun packed hotel, lots on offer and nothing too much trouble...... what a holiday we had. Although in Benidorm, we done lots of excursion, shopping in markets and in shopping malls and dropped in to a few bars on the strip...... at Sandos Monaco it can easily be a one stop with no need to go out the hotel.
Highlights of the hotel -
Fontvieille Buffet Restaurant - with Grill show cooking, Italian counter including made to order items, Carvery different meats each night. Salad bar, desserts bar all before you even reach the buffet .... the list goes on. BIG SHOUT OUT's to - Entire team on the Fontvieille Restaurant from Hostess - always greeted you with a smile, Waiters - who were always there to get your drinks as your seated to the Chef's - for the spectacular selection, variety and quality of food served each day.
Montecarlo Bar - on main level with outside terrace, entertainment stage, had afternoon show cooking - sangria and paella, terrace games, tarot reading, massages treat from Spa team, local wine and chocolate tasting the list goes on...... BIG SHOUT OUT's to - Luis a cheerful and happy character who was great at making cocktails and very knowledgeable on the large selection of drinks available.
Snack Bar - next to the pool which in all our holidays is one of the best and made to order for freshness, they even have a vertical rotisserie serving both chicken and doner kebabs, staff always friendly and had a bit of banter with you as you waited on your food.
Metropole Bar - with the main stage for evening entertainment, they had games before entertainment each night like bingo, quizzes etc and a late entertainment after acts like discos and karaoke, they offered a wide variety of different acts each night throughout our holiday. (although acts on for no more than 1hr was ample) BIG SHOUT OUT's to - Jeremiah five stars for his quick, friendly service in a packed bar each night making the whole atmosphere whilst at the bar lively and fun he is a true professional.
Biggest SHOUT OUT of the holiday should go to the Entertainment team - Judith, Yana & Oscar for their engagement from morning to night entertaining all guests. The team went big on Halloween throughout the month of October and did not disappoint. They even put on exceptional performances of their own in some afternoons and evenings which were very well executed, and the choreography was very professional.
And not to forget about the people we have least interaction with on this type of holiday but are at the heart of the hotel ....

Luciana on Reception - works in a great welcoming and professional manner giving a lasting first impression, a credit to the management team at Sandos Monaco.
Housekeeping team - their cleanliness and commitment are second to none, the hotel is highly dedicated to sustainability through different initiatives you can see this in all departments throughout the hotel and the hotel also have achieved a Travel life Gold Certificate. WELL DONE
I would recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit at Sandos Monaco Hotel & Spa Benidorm.
