6/10 Hotel with Helpful StaffLooking around the hotel, there isn’t a dedicated pick-up or drop-off point for guests arriving or departing with luggage. Not to mention the absence of a main ground lobby or a proper porch entrance. This is a major design flaw that adds unnecessary inconvenience.
Fortunately, Ms. Moe and Mr. Toyoda both from the Front Office were helpful in assisting with our concerns. Once again, the staff at Sequence stood out. Their ability to understand and communicate in English effectively helped minimize miscommunication or misunderstandings, which is very important for international guests.
Our 5 AM airport pick-up, with four pieces of luggage in tow, went smoothly thanks to their help. However, a dedicated pick-up point would have significantly reduced our apprehension. Having to lug our luggage while trying to locate a driver who isn’t sure where exactly we are waiting would have been stressful.
Please improve the arrival and departure experience for guests. A designated pick-up and drop-off area would greatly enhance convenience and ensure a smoother, more comfortable stay.

8/10 Yes, but worth it? Not sure.I liked the convenient location to Shibuya crossing, the staff was friendly and helpful, too.
I loved the convenience of being able to borrow everything needed - ie. An umbrella as it was pouring.

3/10 Hotel below reasonable expectationsThe best compliment we can give to the hotel is undoubtedly the staff, whose smiles and readiness to help us with our inquiries made us feel welcome. However, despite their excellent service (and through no fault of theirs) other aspects of the hotel—such as its policies, facilities, amenities, and the design, fixtures, and fittings of my Parkside Twin Room—did not meet our expectations. While we truly appreciated the hospitality, we couldn’t help but feel that many areas could benefit from urgent improvement. In comparison, the Shinjuku Groove offered a significantly more satisfying experience in many aspects.

8/10 Simple, clean hotel at a convenient location.Location was relatively near the Shibuya train station and crossing, and connected to Miyashita Park and shops. The room was just nice for a solo traveller, water pressure for the shower was great. I discovered that there was a Hachiko bus stop in front of the family mart near by and that was convenient e.g., travelling down to Meiji Jingu for 100Y.

9/10 Location great, room view amazingLocation was great, the massive window next to bed was cute, bed and pillow comfy. Coffee place downstairs nice and lovely, a lot of people come to work there, so it's mainly not even tourists, which is nice.

8/10 Great hotel with a prime location for business travelers, but the rooms are a bit tight for familiesMiyashita Park Hotel is a great place to stay, especially for business trips. The location is super convenient—close to public transport, shops, and great food spots. The hotel itself is modern and well-designed, with a comfortable vibe. If you're traveling solo or for work, it's a solid choice. For families with kids, you might find the space a bit tight.

4/10 Disappointing; wouldn’t not stay there again.Room was right above the train line - very noisey.
Room was so small I couldn’t open my luggage
Toilet and shower together; sink outside of bathroom. Wasn’t expecting a mediocre room for $340 a night.

9/10 Clean and modern hotel located in the heart of Shibuya. I stayed here twice on my trip I enjoyed itComfy beds with great city views thanks to large bay windows. Modern Smart TV with phone connectivity was a nice touch. Showering/bathroom facilities were clean and of a good standard. Location was absolutely amazing.

9/10 Exceptional StayService was exceptional they assisted us with so many things even across a language barrier. The location can't be beat right in the heart of Shibuya. The connected buffet for breakfast and lunch is great and reasonably priced. It's only a 10 minute walk to Shibuya station to get yourself wherever you need to go.

8/10 Fine if you're young.Great stay at sequence Miyashita park. If you’ve done any research on this property you can clearly see that the hotel’s greatest asset is its’ location and this is very true. The hotel is positioned at the north of Miyashita Park, which means it can be accessed via stairs, escalator or lift (during park operating hours) or from the entrance which is closest to Shibuya Station (meaning that Hatchiko Statue is around a 4 minute walk from that end of the park) or 24 hours via the ground floor elevator which goes to the 4th floor. In the week that we were at the hotel, we probably mostly used the park entrances during the day, and the elevators after hours.
The rooms are quite nice. We had a double queen room which was a good size. We thought that this room had a bed which was up against the window (meaning that one person would have to climb over the other to get out of bed) but it turned out that this was not the case. There’s ample space at the entrance of the room to have suitcases - in total we had 4 large suitcases, and 4 carry-on bags. There’s also a wooden shelving unit that runs below the window which has the TV and also could fit a suitcase as well. The vanity/sink/safe/hairdryer/mini fridge are all located outside of the bathroom. The bathroom door opens immediately on to the toilet, and the shower is to the right and has a rainforest style head. The water pressure is great and easy for hair washing.
There are laundry facilities on the 4th floor as well as a vending machine. It’s in a small room with a sliding door, and there are two washing machines which you put in a passcode so it can’t unlock until you actually take your items out. We paid around 500 yen for a larger load of washing which took two hours. Rooms are only cleaned every second day. I’m not sure where this came from but it’s definitely only a last couple of years thing. I think for this kind of hotel it’s actually unacceptable. Do I keep rubbish inside my room for 48 hours or do I put it outside the door? And only two bottles of water are provided for a 48 hour period. That’s half a bottle of water per person, per day. Please help me make that, make sense.
The reception to the hotel is all self-serve, but there are staff who basically guide you through the process anyway. From the reception there is a long cafe/bar area which has large square co-working style tables, and seating all along the windows. We found that 70% of the time, there were no seats available during the day because there are people working at the larger tables from morning until late at night. Means that they get a fantastic office space for the price of a coffee, but it’s a little frustrating when all you want to do is sit and have a coffee. There are signs that say "if we are crowded, and you are sitting here a long time, we might ask you to move on", but it's clear that they don't actually enforce this policy. In the 7 days we were there, we saw the same people every single day conducting meetings, teaching English classes with students, actually working directly from the cafe. Were they guests? I can't 100% say, but when you see them packing up their bags and then exiting via the elevator to go downstairs, rather than upstairs to a room, and foreigners who speak Japanese, it's fairly clear that they're not staying there. Earlier in the day and later at night it seems a little more open. Tuesday and Wednesday nights there is happy hour and a DJ which was pretty cool actually.
Let’s talk about noise. I’m not one to complain, and personally, I was not really affected but my travel companions were. Significantly. We were on the 9th floor and we could hardly hear street level traffic nor could we hear trains, but we could hear music from nearby bars (we aren’t entirely sure where the bars are located but we think it was the 2nd/3rd floor bars located within the hotel complex which were playing house/dance music with exceptionally strong bass beats until 3 or 4am on the Thursday/Friday/Saturday and Sunday nights that we were there. My parents, who were on the 8th floor said that they too were greatly affected and that they too could hear trains every morning and night - their room faced the train lines, whereas mine did not. My disappointment stems in the fact that it seems like the ground floor entrance, which houses a bar or club for the Miyashita Park complex, seems to be the source of the music - so there really needs to be some adjustment there. If I were a light sleeper, personally I’d have been even more greatly-affected.
In summary, did I enjoy my stay? Absolutely. Staff were lovely and friendly. Very helpful. Absolutely perfect location to be able to come and go. And the park complex is great, with good shops on the 1/2/3rd floors, a pop up market/area, a food court… Starbucks on the rooftop, but just know… everywhere is absolutely packed. It’s almost impossible to get a seat in the food court, it’s almost impossible to get a seat on the chairs in the park… any restaurants in the vicinity are extremely difficult to get a seat in. But this is not a hotel issue, it’s a Japan thing of which people really should be aware before traveling.
We tried to ask the reception to make a reservation for us for dinner and were flatly told "we do not assist with making reservations" so I persisted and asked them to assist me by making a phone call to a particular restaurant so I could enquire whether or not a reservation was required. When they answered, there was a recorded message which said they spoke English. So she handed the phone over to me and they... did not speak English. For some reason she actually went ahead and made the reservation regardless. I suspect per haps there's a rule that they don't assist with reservations because maybe people don't follow through and that then makes it difficult if a fee is charged or whatever.
Hope to stay at Sequence again in the future, albeit in a floor higher than floor number 9 and maybe even at the cheaper prices that used to be offered a year or two ago.

2/10 A holiday that made us uncomfortableStaying at Sequence Miyashita Park has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Despite traveling extensively across Japan and having pleasant stays in other hotels, my 3-night stay here has been a nightmare and I’m not someone who over exaggerates. Upon check-in, I requested extra pillows for my family cause each bed only had 1 pillows. All other hotels provided us with 2 pillows, but the front receptionist told me, ‘I’m sorry, we need to check stock, but most probably we don’t have any extra pillows.’ I made it clear that if they couldn’t provide the pillows, I would have no choice but to check out, as my family and I would feel uncomfortable without them. After constant calls and going to the front desk and even told them that do they want me to walk across to Nitori to get the pillows ? It took them an hour to finally provide the pillows, and when they arrived, they had a terrible smell. Also let me share this, Arisa at front desk, Why don’t you state on your website that you only provide one pillow per bed? She said, ‘It’s not listed, but the photos show only one pillow.’ This baffles me. I will say this, she was not at all apathetic.
I also tried to make an outgoing call to Daiwa Roynet Hotel, where I stayed before coming here, but I couldn’t even call out from my room. They told me I had to go to the front office or reception to make the call, which is a first for me. For the price I paid at Daiwa Roynet compared to here, it’s about the same, but the service and room quality there were so much better—I just can’t describe it in words. The noise from the trains and traffic outside is constant; you hear the train passing by every few minutes, and it’s really loud. Especially in room 1601, a corner unit, the noise makes it difficult to fall asleep. The bathroom is tiny, really is small even when sitting on the WC and the overall atmosphere feels more like a budget hotel. The young front desk staff seem out of touch and lack maturity (probably the new Gen Z who just don’t know how to communicate with customers). I cut my trip short here, staying for just 1 night, as it was already almost 10 pm and I couldn’t find another hotel. I am moving out today to a different hotel and they agreed to refund me. This is an honest review from a frequent traveler and a family man in his 50s and this is meant to help your Managemnt make the necessary improvements and not intended to put you out of business.

2/10 Unpleasant Hotel in TokyoThis is the most terrible hotel we have ever stayed in around the world. Staff not extremely helpful limited English considering the hotel has a lot of international guests. Not helpful for first timers to Japan regarding directions & where places were. Also regarding ordering a taxi to airport was stressful they wanted us to ring taxi company even English was very limited with taxi drivers. After much haggling they reluctantly ordered it for the next morning. No help with luggage at any time. Certainly a no frills hotel Reception area has no where to sit except for 2 polished concrete steps. The Cafe is full from 9.00am -9.00 pm with people on work stations, so couldn’t sit there. Had to wait all day to check in even though our room was free wanted extra money to check in two hours earlier. Room was a nightmare, not a chair to sit on 2 tiny pillows, lighting dreadful had to use our touches to see our belongs. TV had no English channels at all not even subtitles. No where to sit & watch it anyway except a very low bed, that was as hard as a rock to sleep on. Room serviced was every 2nd day one tiny bin , so overflowing after one day, no where to put rubbish. Room & whole hotel very run down with unclean smell throughout. Our room over looked park, but also a 4 lane train track, no kidding the noise in our room was unbearable, you would swear the trains were coming through your room from 4.00 am - 1.00am.2 to three trains at a time. The slippers they provided in room were worn & scuffed used by other people, so unhygienic. Being here spoilt our experience of Tokyo. Our transit Hotel at Singapore airport seemed like luxury on our way home.

6/10 The trains goes through your roomAlthough this is in a great location with excellent amenities close by, there are 4 lines of trains next to the hotel.
The queen room we had was small, with only access to the bed from one side.
The room had poor lighting and no information available except trying to navigate the TV.
The main issue is the trains. They start at 5.58am and finish at around 1am, and the noise through the room is disconcerting.
If you are an older traveller like us, I wouldn't recommend

6/10 Great staff in an average hotelStaff were great. Rooms were smaller than my toilet AND next to a train line OR main road with sirens all night. After the non stop trains, I let them know that i needed to love rooms and they were kinda cool about it.
Breakfast is good and there’s a Starbucks on the grounds. If they aren’t dealbreakers, book a bigger room somewhere else.
