Booked and paid for 7 nights in advance. Arrived with no room was available due to their major facility plumbing issue and had to check into a two-twin bed room instead of one king bed as booked. Arrived with no room was available due to their major facility plumbing issue and had to check into a two-twin bed room instead of one king bed as booked. The facility was very old, dirty with bad odor. One of the worst sort of the bad odor was their dark color toilet mat. This very dirty toilet mat would had never been cleaned nor replaced for months. Tried of this very inconvenience and decided to give up and moved to a different hotel instead. The even more disturbing news was both of the Sheik Istana Hotel and Hotel.com were putting a lot of effort not to refund the remaining unused nights. This was very unacceptable and definitely had to sort it out at BBB, FTC and CFPB. Show More

I had a fantastic stay at Sheik Istana Hotel and can’t say enough good things! The hotel was conveniently located close to the airport, and the amenities were amazing. Rooms were clean, air conditioni...I had a fantastic stay at Sheik Istana Hotel and can’t say enough good things! The hotel was conveniently located close to the airport, and the amenities were amazing. Rooms were clean, air conditioning was excellent and beds were very comfortable. But more than anything, the customer service and amazing kindness of the staff was unparalleled. Despite check in hours ending at 10 PM, when I messaged asking what I should do if my 9 PM flight was delayed, the staff generously said that they would wait for me. Even after checking out of the hotel, they offered any help/ support I needed. Will definitely be staying here again if I am back in Chiang Mai! Show More
