A very easy 5 stars and I will absolutely be back, should the opportunity arise. The other guests however left a lot to be desired. We first encountered the family as the father just let the kids use the corridor as a race track. The disgust on my face must have been enough to move them into their room which was situated 5 rooms away (we counted them!) At well past 10pm we could still hear the kids yelling & screaming, clearly jumping on and off the furniture. Even with earplugs in I could still hear the screeching until way past when little kids should be abed. I don't hold the hotel responsible for this incredibly poor piece of parenting but it is a warning for those who are light sleepers that the rooms are not particularly sound safe.Show More

The front desk staff were very helpful - they c...We stayed at SkyCity Auckland for two nights. We arrived at 7 am from a long international flight, knowing that our room wouldn’t be ready so early. The front desk staff were very helpful - they checked us in, obtained an email address and cell number to message us when the room was ready so we could go explore the city and they let us into the lobby bathroom so we could change. The concierge was also very helpful and friendly, storing our luggage and giving us directions to the harbour and ferry area. We did get a message that our room was ready in the early afternoon. And our luggage was placed in our room when we got there. The room was spacious and clean. It was very quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. It was a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel.Show More

Outlets in weird places. Lighting was terrible. Bella who checked us in did a horrible job at explaining the parking situation. Told us it would be $35 for our 2 night stay and didn’t mention we had to come back to reception to get a parking discount pass so we paid $48 and when we went back to ask what happened and spoke with Misha she was so lovely and explained everything perfectly and said to go to the parking office to get a refund so we went to the parking office and they said they don’t issue refunds and that’s the receptions job. Went back to Misha and she said they don’t issue refunds either but gave us an email to inquire further with management. Checked out with Bella again and she tried changing another $35 for parking and tried arguing with us when we asked for a single exit pass. Very disappointed with Bella’s service. Misha was amazing. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff; you were served with total consideration for your comfort and enjoyment of their facility. Our room was spacious, totally clean, & very comfortable. The bed and linens were warm and supportive. We enjoyed the smooth coffee provided in the room in the mornings along with refrigerated milk. An add bonus I especially enjoyed! The lavatory amenities with a large walk-in shower just added to our pampered stay. The room was very quiet to sleep in and no fan or other guest noise was noticed. Any request was attended to quickly with smiling energetic staff. We want to Thank Aiden for all the attentive help he gave us during our stay!!! An exemplary shout out to the management for leading your staff to be one of the BEST serviced hotels I have ever visited!!! AWESOME JOB!!Show More
