It is easily found from Atocha train station, approximately five minutes walking distance. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and welcoming. My room was super clean and tidy, with an extra comfy bed (firm mattress). Although I could hear other guests making their way to their rooms, once they were inside there was no further noise. The private bathroom was very nice, with a shower and toilet behind a door and the sink in the main bedroom: my room was the smallest as the single 8m2, but it had everything I needed. The hotel offered free coffee, tea, soft drinks and water in the reception area if I checked in online, which was fantastic. For sale, there were also freshly made cakes and cookies/biscuits, crisps, yoghurts and even liqueurs and wine. There was even a wide selection of tea on offer as well. Overall, a fantastic experience and I will definitely be back!Show More

It is a quant and nice hotel. Very clean, and I love the low carbon footprint and their effort to lessen their mark on the planet.I really like the idea of them putting €5 toward planting a tree each day you ask them not to clean your room. They have a daily breakfast that starts at 7am. You just have to book the day before. The breakfast consists of local items you would see served in a Spanish breakfast. The staff are always nice and very helpful. Also the hotel is in walking distance from famous attractions like Plaza Major, and the Royal place to the Prado. The hotel also basically sits next to the Renia Sofa Modern art museum. There are local places to eat just out the doorstep of the hotel too. The staff can also help book your guides and taxi service from the front desk. The hotel is also close the Atocha train station and the city Metro as well.Show More

Luckily there was a shortage of rooms for my last trip and we widened our search, otherwise I would have never found what is now my absolute favorite place to stay in Madrid. Don’t be fooled by the official rating as a hostal - this place is nicer than many four star business hotels I stayed in. And one thing that really sets them apart is a honest and true focus on sustainability - not just fancy marketing words that you encounter so often. And the home made breakfast is a true delight, you should absolutely take the time to enjoy that on the roof top of the hotel. The rooms are a bit on the small side, however I was still able to roll out my yoga mat in it. And you can upgrade to a double room with a balcony if you prefer a bit more space.Show More

But there was no place to put the suitcases except on the floor! The room was hot but if we had the window open, the noise was horrendous from the street. We were only there one night and so it was convenient to the Atocha station. We had stayed here twice before but I guess we didn’t need to have the windows open. Why not put suitcase holders in the room if you aren’t going to allow access to the extra beds? For the very expensive price we paid, we will stay elsewhere next time. Disappointing to say the least.Show More
