My friend and I recently stayed here for 1 week whilst I was attending a conference at the Convention Centre nearby. From start to finish, the service by the wonderful team at Sofitel Broadbeach was...My friend and I recently stayed here for 1 week whilst I was attending a conference at the Convention Centre nearby. From start to finish, the service by the wonderful team at Sofitel Broadbeach was impeccable. At check in, we had Lucas, who was so very lovely and helpful. No questions/requests were too difficult, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful when asked how to get to the various attractions. He even helped us book the free shuttle bus to Harbourtown. Our room was on the 12th floor, with a balcony, which afforded absolutely beautiful views of the ocean. It was so relaxing to fall asleep to the sound of the lapping waves. The room was beautiful and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. They had the usual tea making facilities, fridge and a Nespresso machine. I particularly appreciated the empty fridge provided for our own use. Breakfast was at the Bistro on 3 on level 3, which was also where the pool was. The buffet breakfast was sumptuous and beautifully presented, with lots of choices. You can even order your choice of eggs (if you didn't fancy the scrambled option) and coffee/tea/hot chocolate of your choice. A special shout out to the manager of the bistro (I think her name was Van?) who made the effort to talk to all the customers, making them feel welcomed and taken care of. My only little feedback is that it would have been nice if they did change/varied the breakfast options a little. Of note, we also particularly appreciated the little special touches provided by the hotel, eg the provision of cold iced peach tea and water in the hotel foyer for hotel guests to quench their thirst. The location of the hotel was absolutely fantastic and unbeatable. It is close to everything you might want/need, without being right smack in the middle of the super busy touristy spots like Surfer's Paradise, yet easy to get there. There is the Oasis mall with various shops and a Woolworths supermarket right next door. There were lots of restaurants right at the doorstep of the hotel and best of all, the ocean/beach was just 5-10min stroll down the road. The Convention Centre was literally just 5mins walk across the road from the hotel. There is also a huge Pacific Fair mall 1 tram stop from the hotel (you can also walk there if you wish). There is a tram line right in front of the Convention Centre. Since there is only ONE tram line going back and forth, with trams every 7-10mins, it's super easy to jump on and go explore other areas like the more touristy Surfer's Paradise, which is only a few stops further afield. The tram stops all accept credit cards and it only costs 50 cents one way to go to Surfer's Paradise, or even further afield. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel Broadbeach and I'd definitely stay here again. Many thanks to the wonderful team there!!Show More

From the lovely Roberta at reception on our arrival who was so efficient and accommodating. Thank you also to Lucas who came to welcome us along with Monica who provided us with a welcome champagne. Luis at the concierge desk was so helpful with booking the tennis court and answering any of our queries during our stay. Clearly the hotel places a high priority on the care of their guests and it showed wherever we were during our six night stay at Broadbeach. Our ocean view room 1907 was offered to us by Roberta which provided a glorious views over the buildings, beach and ocean just a short distance away. The room was beautifully appointed with a spacious bathroom with all that we needed. The spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed, seating area and balcony made our stay a delight. The pool area was uncrowded during our stay with plenty of lounges and ample supplies of towels and sunscreen on hand to enjoy on the third floor. We even availed ourselves time in the gym and although small it was a clean and comfortable space. Once again it is worth noting that it is the ambassadors who work in a hotel that make a stay memorable. The Sofitel Broadbeach has an outstanding team working so hard to accommodate guests. We met some wonderfully kind staff during our stay. Sadly we did not get everyone’s names but hopefully management will pass on our thanks to them. It was lovely also to chat with the customer relations manager, Vianne along with Nadia, the housekeeping manger who were interested in how we were enjoying our stay and interested in sharing their stories with us. They were both so approachable and we appreciated hearing about their roles within the hotel as they too were interested in any feedback we might have to share. Each morning at breakfast we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine welcome. From Vadim who remembered us each morning and knew where we liked to sit. Sami who always made such excellent coffee each morning and had such a lovely smile,along with Leone, Maha and Tracey who took such good care of us when ordering our coffee or omelette each day. Thank you! We will definitely return to this excellent hotel just for the staff alone!Show More
