The room is very small w...I so desperately wanted to like this hotel as it’s a more affordable option in NYC & the front desk staff were extremely friendly, but this just wasn’t a positive stay at all. The room is very small which was kind of expected, but if space is a deal breaker for you, then this won’t be the hotel for you. One star given for location and the other for the staff, but other than that, everything was disappointing. Our room was dirty upon our arrival, with hair all in the shower & clothing labels all over the floor showing that any sort of thorough clean clearly hadn’t been done. We messaged the hotel about this and got no response. Each day we would come back to our room not cleaned and towels not changed (despite it being advertised that this was a daily service). We called 5x over the space of an hour and a half to ask for fresh towels that we needed in order to shower before a reservation and each time were told the people were “in the lift”. Things in the room like the safe, toilet roll holder, desk & more were broken and again, no response was received about these. Breakfast is APPALLING to say the least & can only be compared to feeding time at the zoo. Everyone is quite literally battling to get the food and there is no where near enough seating with some people quite literally sat on the floor with plates on their lap. So if you think the included breakfast is a bonus, it most definitely is not. The hotel does have some cool features like the shop & a well equipped bar, and it ultimately does serve a purpose as a base with a comfy bed, but that’s about all I can say as positives. First let me start with Jeffery, I called the day I booked the room and he stayed on phone while answering phone of other guest for like a hour helping with planning my trip (million gold star for him). Now lets get to Daniel, as soon as I walked up to the door, he greeted me, and welcome me as if I was family. While on my visit he talked with me, gave me great places of interest, and help me me getting around (million gold stars for him). Chris was the silent hero, he made sure that I felt welcomed with his amazing energy (being the support is just as important to me) (million gold stars for him). And lastly, my buddy Kristal, she truly went above and beyond. To start she spent over a hour and a half mapping out my travel so that I got to the places I needed to be and the times I needed to be there. She listen to all my stories (and believe me I can talk), never rushed me, and made me feel I mattered. She also changed my views on New Yorkers, and is the biggest reason I will be returning to New York and to Sprighill Marriot (infinity golds stars for her). I will always remember this amazing staff and hope they get paid whatever they need to stay with the company always (by the way room, and breakfast were great as well)..Show More
