The n...Would’ve been nice to have been informed that the lifts in the car park and lobby were currently being fixed before or during booking so we could’ve made an informed decision of our recent stay. The notice came only AFTER the booking was made. Apart from the saga with the lifts we enjoyed our stay in our comfortable room and bed. Great value for money and the location was unparalleled - close to everything. Will stay again in the future. Hopefully new lifts would’ve been installed by then and breakfast variety would’ve been improved too especially the lackluster service from staff who forgot we paid and ordered for coffee only to be served after I reminded her that she’s already served 4 people who ordered AFTER us - to which she just nodded with no apology but said ‘straightaway’ instead through gritted teeth. Unfortunately these types are the ones that drag down the otherwise prestigious name of a brand such as Stamford.Show More

Rooms were fine, nice big bed. Lounge on the ground floor is quiet and comfortable. Has a real vintage feel to it and bar has happy hour specials. Bar service a bit slow and apparently need training on setting up beer keg and regulator. Buffet breakfast was good, all the traditional things done properly and an omlette station. Coffee costs extra but worth paying 6 bucks for good coffee.Show More
