WENT TO LOBBY TO LET THEM KNOW WE HAD NO WATER IN OUR ROOM (COULD NOT SHOWER, USE THE RESTROOM OR BRUSH OUR TEETH!) AND ALL THE EMPLOYEE "CESAR" COULD SAY WAS "WELL".... WELL... WHAT??? I AM A GUEST IN YOUR HOTEL AND I HAVE NO WATER AND I GET IS WELL??? THEN HE CUSSED US OUT BUT MANAGED TO DO IT WHERE THE CAMERAS COULDNT SEE HIM BLABBERING AND GOT IN MY HUBBYS FACE LIKE IF HE WAS GOING TO FIGHT MY HUBBY!! AT 1ST HE HAD SAID THAT EVERYONE WAS INFORMED ABOUT THE WATER AND WHEN I TOLD HIM I DIDNT GET THE INFO, HE SAID THAT OHHH YOUR # IS NOT IN THE SYSTEM..... SO WE WENT ON ABOUT OUR DAY AND WOULDNT YOU KNOW THE MANAGER CALLS MY CELL PHONE AND SAID, "I DO NOT APPROVE OF YOUR HUSBAND COMING UP TO MY EMPLOYEES FACE AND THEN I SAID TO THE MANAGER, WELL I DO NOT APPROVE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES F-ING ATTITUDE AND ALL THE MANAGER HAD TO SAY WAS HE WILL BE DEALT WITH INTERNALLY I CAN NOT GIVE YOU ANY INFO.... Even after adding the $56/day in taxes and resort fees (which third-party sites do not include), my round-trip airfare, rental car, and hotel room were still under $1,000. As long as you understand those fees are coming, you can still get a great deal. My interior no-window room was clean, quiet, and perfectly adequate for the price. I slept well, and I didn’t mind the lack of a window or bathtub given what I paid. The STRAT Tower is the main attraction. The view is fantastic, and the $10 guest admission is absolutely worth it. If you sign up for the slot club, they may even comp your tower tickets. The neighborhood is improving, and the location works well for access to both the Strip and downtown. If you plan to hop between other properties, center Strip is more convenient, but for pure value, The STRAT is hard to beat. I enjoyed my stay and would happily return—just be aware of the added fees when booking through Expedia or similar sites.Show More

While it scared me to hear the security say this to me as my family and I waited out on the casino floor for our valet, "Ma'am, you can't leave your kids by the door unattended (they are 14 and 13) this is Vegas -- it's dangerous, child trafficking is #2 crime here." I appreciated him looking out for my children, but his words were traumatizing -- it stayed with me, and made me not want to return to LV knowing the real dangers that exist behind the glitz and glam of the city. We had a pleasant trip, but to know that children are trafficked in LV at such an alarming rate was unsettling and I had mixed feelings about being there.Show More
