It was a good location, once you had worked out the Bangkok Transport System. There were transport stops that could be reached on foot - even with a big suitcase; just don't trust the Tuk Tuks until you've acclimatised yourself to Bangkok. The room was good, but a refresh is probably needed, and perhaps for the entire building. We had breakfast on only one day, and afterwards chose to eat on our way to the day's itinerary. You may be amused at the range of 'Services' offered to you along this street, but more conventionally there are some eating places and TWO Seven-Eleven shops. This hotel didn't fail us in any way, but it didn't really shine, so 7 out of 10 is an honest judgement. Our Travel colleagues paid extra for a larger room with private sitting room, and if we'd done that then an "8" might have been given.Show More

This mid range hotel is clean, has great A/C, good water pressure in the shower, and extremely friendly staff. The service is very good with a daily cleaning service if requested. I don’t use the bar, breakfast or restaurant services, so I cannot review these but from friends who stayed in the hotel at the same time I heard the breakfast service is very good. Its location is perfect to use the subway/metro system of Bangkok as well as the skytrain system. Stations for these services are within 5-7 minutes walking distance. There is a 7-elven literally on the corner (30 second walk) which is open 24/7. There are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, clubs and bars around and a night market two blocks down. I had a wonderful time here and it most certainly enhanced my visit to the lovely city of Bangkok. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, no questions asked.Show More

Continental breakfast was basic which includes coffee and tea. We always went for the fixed breakfast menu that they offer so you can get fresh meals, such as poached eggs, French toast, pancakes or Asian breakfast (congee, noodle soup, fried rice). This was a perfect way to start your day. Breakfast starts from 6:30 am until 2pm which gives you plenty of time to sleep in. The security outside was always super helpful and kind, making sure your cab rides find their way in. Location is super, only 10 min walk from BTS, Metro and busstations. Walking distance is also stimulating with tons of food options, night markets, food stalls and malls. The hotel has its charm and for the price it’s very reasonable, both expectations and amenities they have to offer. If you value location, price and night life over fanciness, then this might be a good choice for you.Show More

It is close to everything. I stayed here many moons ago and always a good spot for mid range prices and good service. Although this old lady is a little tired and wrinkled its inner beauty regarding its core product remains. The staff are engaging, friendly and unobtrusive. The simple breakfast is adequate and good value. The hotel is al spotlessly clean reflected in great housekeeping. The price is right and is good value for money. Given all that it is, I would not hesitate to return at such a great price and would pay a premium should it ever receive a little TLC to return to its original self 20`30 years go.
