I stayed at the Travelodge Montréal Centre from August 23–26, 2025 for three nights at $256.86 per night. For a three-star hotel downtown, the price was fair. For a three-star hotel downtown, the price was fair. I miss the old gift shop (now a hair salon) because the owner was always kind. The location is excellent. It’s across from Complexe Desjardins (Desjardins Complex) with shops and a food court, a two-minute walk to Place des Arts (The Arts Square) and the Quartier des Spectacles (Entertainment District), and close to Chinatown (Quartier Chinois), Vieux Montréal / Vieux Port (Old Montréal / Old Port), and the Centre Eaton de Montréal (Eaton Centre Mall) connected to the underground city. Restaurants are everywhere, and McGill, Concordia, and UQAM are all within walking distance. Check-in was slow and one key card didn’t work, but staff were polite. We switched rooms easily. Rooms are compact (~15 m²), fine for one or two people but tight for families. Ours had a bunk bed and two singles. Amenities included a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, and towels. Some furniture was worn, one light didn’t work, and the A/C was noisy, but none ruined the stay. Breakfast (7–10:30 a.m.) had fruit, cereal, eggs, yogurt, pastries, coffee, and tea. Simple but filling. The gym is tiny, and the water fountain was replaced with an ice machine. Checkout was smooth, Jennifer was excellent, and we got our $100 deposit back. Overall, clean, reliable, and unbeatable for location. Solid 4.5/5.Show More

Drama for check in. The reservation somehow was under my spouse name, I was told my spouse must be in person when checking in, even I showed my reservation confirmation on my phone. The reservation somehow was under my spouse name, I was told my spouse must be in person when checking in, even I showed my reservation confirmation on my phone. Later after the staff checked with manager, finally we checked in. I think the staff may need to be trained to be more professional. After a long drive, I didn’t expect to be told we couldn’t check in, when my spouse was far away from us, and he had be there in person for checkin, first time experience. Arrived around 5:30 pm, no parking on site available, I had to park at public parking for first night. Staff helped us to identify possibilities nearby, thanks. Meanwhile, learnedly to call at 6 pm next morning to reserve parking spot, did so, but was told to go to front desk at 8 am to reserve, finally did what was told, got a parking spot on site for second night for $35 Canadian dollars, and over $40 after taxes per day. Luckily I got a spot for departure next day. If you drive to Montreal, be concerned parking conveniences. The continental morning breakfast is not good enough, only boiled eggs, no sausages, no bacons. Stayed on first floor near corner, no cold water from faucet for brushing teethes, even running tap water for a very long time, anyway, didn’t bother to complain, perhaps due to hot weather in August. My friend and I arrived at this hotel at 10am after driving three hours. We went in and expressed that we would like to check in earlier and she told us to come back at 1-1:30 so we did. They let us p...My friend and I arrived at this hotel at 10am after driving three hours. We went in and expressed that we would like to check in earlier and she told us to come back at 1-1:30 so we did. They let us park in the underground parking space while we went shopping so that was nice at least. When we did come back she told us our room still isn’t ready and will be done at 2. We wait, then they told us now 2:30, then get told after 3pm (which is after regular check in time) when the woman at the desk called the cleaning staff to make our room a priority. When we finally get to check in they tried charging my credit card again after it was already charged the night before when I filled out the online check in. Our room was nice and clean but for a sweet to be on the main level beside the gym and the breakfast was terrible. We heard absolutely everything at all times. People walking, the bell when food was done in the kitchen every 5 seconds, people yelling, people knocking on our door and running away ect. For 400 bucks a night I would have expected more and not have to sleep in a lobby from 1:30-3pm when I was told to come back for 1pm and to have been woken up a million times in one night. Show More

The room was small compared to other hotels, however it was all you need and roomy for 2 people. The bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. We were able to walk to Old Montreal, St. Catherine street, Mount Royal etc very convenient location. (We like to walk). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The one thing we really appreciated was you needed to use your key to enter the hotel after hours. The breakfast was the same for the 5 days we were there. It was all you needed but would like to have had different options like a waffle batter and iron, but Like i mentioned what was served is all you need. The only other thing (I'm sounding picky) a vending mention on every other floor. I didnt think there was one until I seen it on the last day. It is located around the corner from the lobby. They were able to keep our luggage after we checked out in a secured room. Very well organized. Overall this was a very friendly, clean hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great job.
