We were aware it was an older motel and has had renovations and we did find it clean, but the quality of the renovations were sub...Having read the glowing reviews, we expected more than we experienced. We were aware it was an older motel and has had renovations and we did find it clean, but the quality of the renovations were subpar. Also, in our room, the electrical outlets were lacking with only one plug in the kitchen area in a narrow area directly beside the sink which made plugging in the coffee pot or kettle awkward. There was a power strip on the night table. The outlet by the bathroom sink was linked to the switch so we couldn’t use our nightlight. We also did experience noise from the traffic but perhaps a trade off for being close to Skaha Lake park. One bonus was the mini split air conditioner was quiet. We had booked 2 nights but chose to leave after one as we didn't feel comfortable with the general feel of the room. Generally speaking, we found it difficult to align the 5 star reviews we read to what we experienced. We wanted to highlight a few things that others might want to consider prior to booking.Show More
