I could not sleep well because of the poor soundproofing, extremely loud air conditioning unit, and lack of blackout curtains due to the A/C unit preventing the curtains from closing. Also, for the exact same room type (Legacy King), the room was much smaller than the pictures shown online when I booked it. This was very disappointing and felt dishonest. PRO's: - Comfortable bed and pillows - Spacious and nice bathroom CON's: - The Legacy King Room was much smaller than the pictures shown online when I booked it. It felt dishonest. - The air conditioning unit was portable and had a huge pipe going outside the window. It was extremely loud and also prevented the curtains from closing. I could not sleep and tried to turn off the A/C, but it got way too hot in the room to sleep so I had to turn it back on. - The soundproofing was very poor. I could hear a lot of noise from outside the room and building.Show More

We stayed in Room 306, Legacy King Room. The room was modern, comfortable and very quiet. The only comment I would make is the sliding door to the bathroom wouldn't stay closed. The only comment I would make is the sliding door to the bathroom wouldn't stay closed. We had to stick something in the door jamb to keep in closed. Other than that, the room was quiet, bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure. They supply a nespresso coffee machine and various teas. Coffee and tea was also available in the lobby. A section of the hotel is under renovation but we didn't experience any noise. The hotel is a close walk to Gastown and Rogers Arena. We arrived by train very early in the morning. The hotel stored our luggage and called us as soon as our room was ready. They also stored our luggage after checkout before our flight home. The front desk staff were very helpful with suggesting sights to see, as well as restaurants. A very good experience at The Victorian.Show More

It's in a great central location and so walkable t...My husband and I stayed for 4 nights before our cruise. The hotel is a beautiful historic building which has been renovated, and is still ongoing. It's in a great central location and so walkable to everything we wanted to see and do, including stanley park and the aqua bus to granville island. The staff were friendly and the provided bottle of water and nespresso machine were a nice touch. The room was quite light at night and smaller than it appeared in the online photos. The air-conditioning was a bit noisy and as we had a room that faced the street it was quite noisy as from traffic, sirens, there are quite a few homeless people in the area but we didn't feel unsafe. We would stay here again if we returned to Vancouver.Show More
