I booked a room for my brother, myself, and my two nephews for Saturday. I wanted to pay ahead so that it was an easy check in, so I called ahead on Thursday. The staff member I spoke with over the ...I booked a room for my brother, myself, and my two nephews for Saturday. I wanted to pay ahead so that it was an easy check in, so I called ahead on Thursday. The staff member I spoke with over the phone informed me that my card would be charged on the Friday for the cost of the room, which it was. However, when I arrived on Saturday, I was told I had to pay an additional $200 deposit on top of what I'd already paid. The concierge was incredibly unwelcoming and unsympathetic to the situation. Fortunately, I was refunded (still waiting for the money to go back on my card but that's due to my bank) and we were able to use another credit card to pay for the room. There's also no breakfast included and I wasn't informed by the concierge what time breakfast ended. They just said we could eat in the restaurant. The hospitality staff were the nicest staff members we interacted with in the entire hotel. They stayed open late and offered to serve us breakfast as long as we ordered quickly. The concierge in the morning was more accomodating, allowing us a late checkout, but still not friendly. I didn't feel welcomed at the Visitors Inn and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. I also didn't love staring at a United States of America flag that was posted outside my window. Show More

The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have a room on the bottom floor where I could unload right at my door. I was worried about the noise from the highway, but it was super quiet. I decided to stay in and order diner from the restaurant and it was amazing. The young lady that was working was friendly and she mentioned that her mom was the cook. I took my food back to my room and was so good. I could tell that she she cooks with passion. My chicken fettuccine was cooked to perfection. I will definitely stay here again when travelling back and forth from Nunavut to New York. Show More

We spent 18 days visiting family around Ontario and this was our best hotel accommodation on the trip. We really appreciated the kitchenette as dietary issues make it hard for us to eat out. We really appreciated the kitchenette as dietary issues make it hard for us to eat out. There are a major grocery store, dollar store and of course Tim Horton's just a block away. Just saying traffic can be busy with the 403 nearby and the new bike lane makes it a bit tricky to turn into the parking lot. However staff were friendly and focused on our satisfaction with our room the 6 days we spent there. We greatly appreciated that as this was not the case at every place we stayed. Show More
