The location is fabulous, walking distance to shopping, great restaurants, Stanley Park & the...We have been regular customers of the Wedgewood Hotel & Spa for the last 5 years and it never disappoints. The location is fabulous, walking distance to shopping, great restaurants, Stanley Park & the sea wall. The rooms are lovely and include numerous extra touches such as high end bath products, chocolates on arrival and delicious homemade cookies with turndown service every evening. We were fortunate enough, on our last stay, to be upgraded to the penthouse suite, which has two spacious balconies overlooking Robson Square as well as a jacuzzi and fireplace. The restaurant, Bacchus, is outstanding and has great ambience, whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks. Their fixed menu Thanksgiving dinner this weekend was superb! However, what really sets this boutique hotel apart is the staff and the personalized service. It would be unfair to name staff members who went above and beyond as every single member of the staff across all departments is consistently friendly, courteous, welcoming and exceptionally helpful, exceeding all expectations. Management must be doing something right as we see the same staff at the property year after year and it is easy to tell that they take great pride in the property. We visit Vancouver quite frequently and we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. The Wedgewood is perfection for us!Show More

I really am going to try and keep this review short but there are just so many incredible things about this hotel to say. First--the hotel is absolutely gorgeous in every way. Its ultra clean which we appreciate most, quiet, elegant, and wonderfully located. The Bacchus Restaurant in the hotel is absolutely top notch and made dining ultra convenient. We enjoyed our well appointed room (the Wedgewood suite) and utilized the Spa for absolutely outstanding massage treatments. Finally, and trust me this is what separates the Wedgewood from all the rest, I cannot say thank you enough to the incredible people who staff this fine hotel. Andrew and Ashton at the Bacchus bar took great care of us during our meals and an absolute must when staying at the hotel is a conversation with the world's greatest doorman, Kirby. If you meet Kirby you will know exactly why he deserves that kind of praise (though we are very sorry about your Blue Jays, Kirby!) Thank you again Wedgewood, we appreciate you so very much and cant recommend you enough to anyone considering a stay of any length in Vancouver.Show More

Currently this hotel is traveller ranked number 2 on TripAdvisor but for me it is number one. I have stayed at other top hotels in Vancouver, for example the Loden is lovely and the Fairmont Waterfro...Currently this hotel is traveller ranked number 2 on TripAdvisor but for me it is number one. I have stayed at other top hotels in Vancouver, for example the Loden is lovely and the Fairmont Waterfront is luxury with spectacular views, but the Wedgewood is just perfect for me. The welcome was genuinely warm and the rest of the service during our stay was attentive without being stuffy. The Bacchus lounge is so cosy and comfortable with excellent food that is plainer than the restaurant section, where the food is more adventurous and amazing, whilst remaining non-stuffy. The rooms are beautiful, the furniture wonderfully made and designed and the two cosy armchairs were the most comfortable seats I have ever had in a hotel room. Any and all requests we had during our stay were handled efficiently and with charm. The people to mention who looked after us so well were Dickin, Martin, Andrew and Ryan but a particular mention for David who made us feel at home as soon as we stepped in off the street. When you first walk in, it seems very small but it's charming and comfortable without being stuffy. We booked a deluxe room overlooking the park and it was nice to have a balcony to have fresh air. The king bed was so comfortable and the sheets were butter. Everything was clean, even though the decor was a little old, I would define it as classic. I didn't think I would love the tub opened to the room but it was the best thing after walking all day. Being downtown I was worried it would be noisy but it wasn't except for the occasional ambulance driving by. Service was fantastic! From the front desk to the bellmen, housekeeping leaving little treats and all. Bacchus had wonderful food that should not be missed! The lounge was perfect to have a nightcap to end the day. Not a cheap stay by any means but it is so worth it for a weekend!Show More
