The heating wasn’t working so I was freezing during the night, when I informed the property via their WhatsApp I was told maintenance didn’t start their shift until 9am. Left feedback which factored this in but despite this, I liked the property’s location and room so gave it another chance. Was offered a discounted rate of £200 which I appreciated and gave this property a second chance. Never again, biggest mistake I made was re booking! Arrived early, was told early check in is subject to availability so I waited around for 2 hours. Come 3pm, room wasn’t ready so asked staff and waited another 10 minutes. Finally given room, when I went up, the sofa bed had been made up despite me not specifying this or asking for it as it was 1 person staying. Went back down, reported to the “duty manager” whose explanation for why it was made up made no sense whatsoever. Was advised it would be 30-40 minutes for housekeeping to come put the sofa bed away. After waiting a silly amount of time, why should I be inconvenienced even further as a paying customer? Duty manager then went to look for another room but by this point I was done with waiting and done with his attitude. I asked for a refund which he kindly agreed to (saving grace), checked out and went elsewhere to a more luxe property where customer service is top notch.
Overall, I don’t recommend Wilde Aparthotels in Paddington. The most frustrating experience, wasted a few hours of my life! Staff need to be trained better to deal with such situations. I should never have been told it’s another 40 mins for someone to put the bed away given that it’s your problem, I should’ve been allocated the room type / set up I actually asked for in the first place!Show More
