My husband and I stayed at the Windermere for approx. 11 days in August. The owners, Nick & Sylvia, are wonderful hosts...very friendly & helpful whenever we had questions. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. The included cooked to order breakfast was great (hint: book directly thru the hotel and you will have an expanded breakfast menu). Victoria Station was about a 15 minute walk (but we're slow walkers), and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a close by laundromat. We encountered no noise in our room at night. Since it was about 90 when we were there, we really appreciated the air conditioning. I would definitely recommend this hotel!Show More

The hotel is dated, mucky, smells awful and overall is disappointing. I couldn’t even look at the hairdryer let alone use it - see the photo. Mucky , sticky. Shower is like a trickle more like. For the price, I should’ve booked a decent hotel in the area. For £130-140 you can find a much better conditions. A problem with those “boutique” hotels is that standards are not maintained / checked. It’s sad that they get away with charging people so much money for such poor value. Such a waste of money. I wish I had taken more photos to warn fellow travellers.Show More
