The staff was so warm and attentive—truly some of the best service we experienced on our whole trip. They made us feel so welcome from the start. Our room was spacious, super comfortable, and had such a calming vibe. The traditional touches made it feel really special, but it was also cozy and easy to settle into. Breakfast each morning was so lovely—beautifully presented and really delicious. The garden area was such a peaceful escape. It’s hard to believe you're in the middle of the city with how quiet and serene it felt. And speaking of location, it couldn’t have been more convenient—easy to walk to so many places we wanted to visit, but still tucked away enough to feel relaxing. For everything that’s included, I thought it was a great value. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a more traditional and memorable Kyoto experience.Show More

A wonderful little hotel that gives you an insight to the Japanese culture. It was basic (in Japanese style) but had everything you needed, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was worried about sleeping on a futon but had the best nights sleep all holiday. The dinner experience was good although was very rushed, the food was being brought out far too quickly and there was a lot of it. It was lovely and very appealing to look at. The hotel was in a lovely spot very close to the high street with bars.Show More
