first, have to give a shout out to the front desk folks especially the manager Al. he helped our family out tremendously and graciously. i’ve stayed at many hotels where the staff just treat you li...first, have to give a shout out to the front desk folks especially the manager Al. he helped our family out tremendously and graciously. i’ve stayed at many hotels where the staff just treat you like a rental car — check you in, check you out and no joy. Al and staff were friendly and super nice. Now as to the hotel, let’s be honest, it’s not traditional. while the rooms are small (barely enough for two people and luggage), the vibe here is “get out of your room and explore the shared resources” kind of place. so we hung out on the first and second floor on couches, in work areas, in private-ish areas. not traditional, but quite nicely done. and in the rooms everything was top notch from bedding to toiletries to the gorgeous wood. And unlike “your father’s hotel”, there were USB ports all over the room. the roof top bar was popping when we visited briefly. they gave me a free pass to the Gotham boxing gym a 10 minute walk north which i appreciated. there are a few restaurants nearby and the 1 subway is a 3 minute walk away. and if you’re flying in/out of Newark, you literally are on top of the tunnel. 5 min walk into soho. definitely would stay there againShow More

Their hospitality set the tone for our entire trip. They welcomed us with one of the warmest greetings I’ve ever received at any hotel. Check-in was smooth, seamless, and genuinely thoughtful. They even surprised us with complimentary drinks to celebrate our anniversary — such a kind gesture and one that meant a lot to both of us. Throughout our stay, they continued to go above and beyond. They helped us choose great local coffee shops, gave us helpful recommendations, and maintained a level of professionalism that truly stood out. You can tell they take pride in their work and truly care about the guests. I wish every hotel had team members like Nyla and Jenn. They made our anniversary trip special from the first minute, and Arlo is lucky to have such exceptional employees. Thank you, Nyla and Jenn, for making our stay so memorable. It feels extremely safe, and the staff is attentive . We enjoyed a nightcap on the rooftop each night. The view is beautiful and such a perfect way to end the day. The reason for the four stars is the bed size. We stayed in a Queen room, but the bed felt closer to a full. It worked just fine, but for anyone who already finds a queen on the smaller side, I’d recommend booking a King. We plan to do that next time, and I’m sure it will make the stay even better. Otherwise, everything was great. The bed itself was comfortable, the water pressure was fantastic (not always the case in NYC hotels), and the little coffee bar and snack shop were perfect for grabbing something on the go.Show More

The hotel is clean, modern, and in a fantastic location. Conveniently located in a bustling part of town but not loud in this particular part of SoHo. Close to many subways and makes it easy to get uptown or to Brooklyn. The price was decent and a little more affordable than other boutique hotels, and the value matched what you could get with room, board and amenities. I liked that you had gym access nearby (though I didn’t have time for that this trip) and I would definitely take advantage of that in the future.Show More
