The hotel went above and beyond for us! We have stayed in a few hotels in Japan during our month long trip and by far this was the most exceptional place we have stayed in. We have stayed in a few hotels in Japan during our month long trip and by far this was the most exceptional place we have stayed in. And this credit goes to the staff. We were two female travellers carrying heavy suitcases, from the moment we walked in to the door the staff made sure we were looked after and didn't have to lift a finger. But the part that blew me away was when I had issues with a parcel. I shipped off my shopping and some personal items to my home country, and the parcel was stuck in customs. I wasn't able to get through to Japan Post due to the language barrier, the hotel staff communicated with them, found my parcel, and ensured that it was shipped back to my home country, without me having to do anything. This was not their responsibility but mine but from the moment they saw me talking to Japan Post very worried, they stepped in, and sorted everything out. I had wanted to come to Japan my whole life, so the little shopping I did in that parcel were all purchases from my dream trip in Japan. The hotel ensured not just my stay, but my personal struggles were also looked after. They are so hospitable and I am so grateful I owe them everything. They really went above and beyond I cannot recommend a better hotel for a stay, the view is lovely, location is amazing with the stunning Senso Ji temple 4 mins walk away, but most importantly, the staff here really care about you. Thank you so much Asakusa View Hotel for helping a young female traveller who had troubles in a foreign country.Show More

The property was under construction during my stay, and there was no prior communication about it, which made the experience quite unpleasant. Additionally, the pool and fitness center are for members only, which was not clearly stated when booking. It felt misleading and frustrating to find out only after check-in. The only positives were the amazing view and the great location, just steps away from the beautiful Asakusa temples and the old Tokyo charm. However, the hotel itself seems to cater mostly to Asian tour groups and local travelers — if you’re a Western traveler looking for comfort and transparency, I’d suggest considering another property. We found the beds to be too hard and the pillows the same way and small. I ventured into the lobby lounge one afternoon for a cappuccino and was astonished at the outrageous 1200 yen price (just about everywhere else in town the price is between 550 and 650 yen). Needless to say that was the only time I attended anything other than the breakfast buffeT, for which we had already paid. Other than that, everything else was fine.
