What a remarkable and pleasurable experience The Caledonian offered us!
This hotel has elegance, beauty, charm and “positive energy” that is contagious. All of the staff were exceptionally accommodating, professional and personable. Laura was not only friendly and genteel, she also was efficient, as were Erin, Catherine and Amy! The bellmen Mr. George, Michael and Mark always greeted us with a smile and helping hand as well as local knowledge. The spa masseuses, Sondra and Denise, were delightful and made sure we had a most relaxing spa experience.
Thank you to “The Caley” family for completing our Scotland journey in Edinburgh. It was a five star experience!

10/10 Perfect
After being placed in a newly refurbished room, which met all the booking requirements and was very elegant, the smell of fresh paint was still quite strong. After directing concerns to the night concierge team Shaleigh and Danny, they very promptly found us a solution and even went through the personal touch of making sure the new room was perfect before offering it up as an alternative. Saved a lady, who is very uncomfortable complaining with a friendly smile and resolution. Would highly recommend even purely if only for mthe customer service you get 24 hours. An awkward situation resolved without an awkward interaction. We will be back.

8/10 Nice stay but didn't love it
I have wanted to stay at this hotel for a while so decided to treat myself. It was lovely, but wasn't amazing.
Stunning building with very helpful staff.
Room was very nice and bed was comfy.
Breakfast was great. Very high quality and set me up for the day.

9/10 Wonderful restful stay
Staff helpful and very friendly. Room was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Although you can be next to a busy road the traffic noise (from the 4th floor) was not a problem. Really like the how the hotel has developed the space between the two old buildings and created a lovely bright lounging area.

10/10 Another fantastic stay at this delightful hotel
This was our 2nd time staying at this lovely hotel and again it did not disappoint. We had a great surprise at check in when we were told we had a complimentary upgrade. Our room was extremely well appointed and I loved trying out the dyson hairdryer. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the lounge and listening to the live music and enjoying some delicious cocktails and fine wine. The breakfast was superb with a great variety to choose from and of good quality. We cannot wait to return to this friendly luxurious hotel

10/10 It’s a “wow” factor
Wow. As a Diamond member, loved the perks this hotel offered (spa, gym, upgrade, breakfast, and more). Our room view was amazing, it’s 10/10 worth the castle view. The rooms are European sized, so all you US folks don’t be surprised, it’s efficient and cozy. If you’re in your room a lot, why did you travel all the way to EDI?
The Court for lunch is 100/10, the staff, the food, the piano is worth the stop.
We were so pleased by our visit. Can’t wait to come back.

10/10 Wonderful stay
This was my first time staying at the Caledonian. The hotel has a great location for sightseeing and convenient access to public transportation. The room was spacious and very clean, with a super comfy bed. The breakfast was fantastic, a buffet with a huge selection of delicious foods and beverages. The staff was very helpful and kind. Big shoutout to Yulia for being so wonderful and accommodating! I highly recommend this property.

10/10 A perfect short stay in the city. We shall return.
Staff were exceptional. For example the concierge, when asked about a pre-ordered newspaper went to a nearby newsagent and bought us The Times. The waitress at breakfast remembered our order of the previous day even though she had only served us once. Help with taxis was very welcome.
Breakfast and afternoon tea menus were perfect.
Room was clean and well serviced.

Staff were very friendly and facilities were very good in deed. Room was recently refurbished so couldn't of asked for anymore. Breakfast was excellent as were the choices of bars in the hotel and the Spa was great

Great experience having drinks at the Caledonian! such lovely and helpful staff and the most delish and unique cocktails!! Would definitely recommend going for a drink there :) The atmosphere is so lovely and the bar area has a beautiful piano which is played on certain days of the week. Altogether a 10/10 experience!
